I just found this website, the sisters have some very beautiful, professionally recorded CDs…I just ordered a few! (You can listen to brief clips on their site)

If you love Traditional Roman Catholic music, and Traditional nuns, this is the place! 🙂

Thanks for posting this.

I listened to the samples on the “A Day in the Cloister” album. I love that it has common Catholic chants. Perfect for the new Catholic. 🙂

Don’t get me wrong, the sisters have beautiful voices and I have purchased some of their CD’s but they belong to the Sedevacantist group, SSPV. That said, I still like them. I even listen to them sing/chant Compline every evening on their Internet site. Compline starts at 10:00pm Eastern time and 1:00am eastern time.

(www.wftsradio.com/ ) Most programing is sedevacantist so be careful.

PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THISE SITE! They are not in unnion with Rome they are schismatics. You can have same type of music at other Catholic sites or even itunes. No need to support an “order” no in union with Rome.

A4. Our congregation requires that a candidate:
Belong to the traditional Catholic Faith and not be associated with the Novus Ordo Church, schismatic groups, or groups with doubtful sacraments.

As a musician, I have diverse musical tastes, and have purchased music from Eastern Orthodox sites, Jewish sites, Catholic sites, Protestant sites…to me its the music that counts. But to each his own.

Quite apart from their status with Rome, their latin is off. They have a distinct English accent, and cannot pronounce their Rs properly, which is especially noticeable in their psalmody. They do have lovely voices though, although I tend to prefer men’s voices for Gregorian chant.

This is really confusing to me–I thought sedevacantist groups were not allowed to say Mass in public, give the sacraments, etc–yet it seems this order and the priests that oversee them do just that and run a catholic school teaching the kids to do the same. How are they able to do that?

Because there is no civil law that prevents them from doing anything like that sort of thing.
The church does not have Liturgy “police” that prowl about searching for heretics or in this case sedevacantists.

So far its still a free country.

God Bless
