Beautiful verses of Quran

I’m pretty sure I never put my religion up as Catholic, in fact I never put in anything (which Jakasaki noted).
I kind of assumed that everyone would be able to tell I’m Muslim because this is my 3rd post (and they’ve all been in this thread) and because of the nature of my posts. So thanks for pointing that out, I changed it now, but please do not accuse me of of lying, for I did no such thing, nor of hiding it, for I had no such intention. And your right too, it is said in the Qur’an that those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God are destined for punishment. But then again, not all Christians believe that there is any other diety than God. Or to put it in better words, not all Christians believe that Christ is the son of God. Furthermore, (to put it bluntly), the Qur’an ridicules the belief that anything could share in God’s power. I do not deny that any of this is in the Qur’an. You probably won’t find those verses as beautiful, but you’re right, its all in there. I won’t try to butter it all up to you, its got some pretty provocative verses in there to some Catholics (among others). Finally, I might add that if you think the Qur’an is garbled piece of nonsense (and I don’t think I need to nor have the ability to defend it), then you’re probably not gonna find any useful information in this particular thread (let alone "Beautiul verses Of Quan), but surely you know this already.

I’m sorry for being unclear. About the part where I said not all Chrisitians believe Christ is the son of God I should’ve given examples. From my (very) limited knowledge I’d point out the Unitarians as one group of people, but I’m also referring to individuals and not just collective theological beliefs. So, for example, a Christian who goes to this Church or that one and believes that Christ tought beautiful lessons for all of humanity, but just don’t really believe that there could be a son of God. Now when I say that I can’t represent all Christians, but I can say that I know from experience that there are Christians out there like that. (And not being Christian might slightly detract from my arguement…)

And to explain the second unclear part, its not only the belief in multiple deities that the Qur’an condemns, but also the belief that there are intercessors between us and God, or that there are beings who have any power besides God or influence over God. Once again, not being Christian detracts from my arguement, but from what I know, a lot of Christians believe that Christ is their Saviour and that he will intercede (for those who accept him,) to God. Now a belief like that, namely that anyone besides God has the power to forgo punishment on the Day of Judgement , is condemned in the Qur’an. (which is some of what I was talking about in my post)
I think I butchered a lot of beliefs in this post, and I’m sure there are mistakes in my knowledge of the facts here, but I hope that clears some of it up.
 
*2.190] …fight in the way of Allah with those who fight with you…*2.191] And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers.

*3.169] …reckon not those who are killed in Allah’s way as dead; nay, they are alive (and) are provided sustenance from their Lord [meaning they are enjoying their 72 virgins in heaven];

One thing that can be said no matter how many verses are quoted as being beautiful, I can always keep showing the verses that replaced those verses.

If I am told these only pertain to a specific battle then I ask why are Sharia laws fashioned after them and the Koran is irrelevant.

Note the above font size 3 statement:

If I read this correctly, the koran condemns “intercessors between us and God”

Well, it is claimed by islam that an angel came to mohamad in the cave and spoke to him for in God’s behalf.

The angel was the “intercessor” between mohamad & God. How can this be if the koran condemns this?

I don’t know why did you sansure censored first verse: Fight in the way of Allah against those who fight against you, but begin not hostilities. Lo! Allah loves not aggressors.

These verses are about perons who fight us and absolutly in a war if you don’t kill the enemy, enemy kills you.

Now, lets have look in Bible:

Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ***.(1samuel15:3)

But of the cities of these people, which the LORD thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth: But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee(Deuteronomy20:16-17)

Do you know? Quran never ordered to kill children and animals of enemies.

The 72 virgins in Islamic Paradise is actually supported in the Bible.

Except of attacking the authors and site it is better you read that think is it true or not.
 
Let’s accept you true.Answer all of the article, if you can and don’t try to show adynamic parts of it.

What amuses me is that the muslims also give the position of Prophet to Adam, and I just wonder what message was passed by Adam to make him the prophet. 🙂

I had posted two questions on Noah, and Moses, on Non Catholic site, but seems no muslims want to answer that. Would be grateful if you went there and answered your points from islamic perspective.

I just answer in 2 or 3 threads and now I’m answering in 3 threads. After this frieday I can in fridays come to site .
