Beauty as a Proof of God and the Eucharist

The Bad Catholic blog always has good articles, but this one absolutely floored me. It’s not only brilliant, but it gave me an epiphany.

Not only is the search for Beauty and to be a part of Beauty something we are climbing towards, but the Catholic Church is at the top of that mountain, worshipping Beauty - God.

We want to consume Beauty and let it become a part of us and us a part of it.

What better way than the Eucharist, which is Beauty Himself?

Nope I’ve never had that desire at all. I think it is odd to say the least. But I do appreciate beauty and regard the argument from beauty to God’s existence to be strong indeed. I really do these " intellectuals " would refrain from including certain types of images. I suppose it makes them feel adult and morally mature.
