“When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.”

“All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up."
Pretty good reminder, and you’ve got a couple of very good points here. Next time I have that kind of time to waste (like being down with the flu,) I’ll confine myself to “Old People’s MTV,” as my niece calls it (The Weather Channel!) I think I’m getting a little too old for either B & B or Springer!

God probably does wonder why any of us waste our time watching most of the tripe on TV!

LOL! Jerry Springer!? My friend, do you want to die with THAT on your conscience?! That might be a sin even God can’t forgive! It’s like being a Yankee fan!
:D:D:D
I have never been a Jerry Springer fan, even before his talk show. He was a news anchor on a local T.V. and was also our mayor.

Speaking for myself, B&B was funny when it first aired when I was in my early 20’s, now that i’m in my late 30’s, I have no interest in watching it.

I’ve been watching it and enjoying more than I did back in the day. Now if they would just bring back Daria…
I loved Daria. I just read Garmin and TomTom GPS systems licensed her voice last year, putdowns included.

I couldn’t stand B & B when it first aired, probably because it reminded me too much of the dating pool and being single and the very limited choices I seemed to have. Now I’m married and older, I find B & B hilarious.

Probably not unless it pops up on Hulu.

I was too young/wasn’t allowed to watch B&B during its first run and now I don’t have TV at all.

I would watch it though. Maybe not regularly but I’ve seen enough parodies and homages that I’d like to get the more of the jokes. I know a few fans of the original and they don’t seem to be disappointed by the new show.

I admit I thought I had put B & B back in the 90’s------------I’m a Christian now and (let’s face it) B & B was never much of a “religious” program—more of a VERY tasteless but HILARIOUS show--------- 😛

Plus it was back on that “den of iniquity,” MTV.
But I admit that once I heard that the “boys” were back, I was curious about how the show would adapt to today’s reality-show based culture. So I took a peek at two episodes.
So I took a peek at them-------loved them!!! It’s like they never left!!

Who is also watching with me? 🙂
New episodes? Did they age them, or are they still in their teens?

I was commenting about the Simpsons.

When it started I was about 19, Homer 35.

Now I’ve passed Homer…he’s still 35!

**NOPE!

We are what we eat** and what we watch…I care not to watch. I struggle enough being a human w/out being reminded that I am a human with flaws.

B & B have flaws…I have enough on my own with thinking theirs are OK…this is a slippery slope.
In that case I must think and move like a potato. I better look into changing my diet. 😃

I know some people who feel the opposite. Can’t stand it now but watched it before.

Life is strange, I tell ya.

Stuff like this happens. 👍👍

She moved from Highland to Lawndale (reference HER series). As far as I know, Judge is planning to give her a cameo in a future episode.

I would love to see B & B somehow travel to Lawndale and meet up with her. That would be hilarious.

Yes, indeed.

B&B was born out of an irreverent experience in Judge’s Jesuit-Catholic high school in New Mexico. At an all-school Mass, during the consecration, some guy laughed that low ‘huh-huh-huh’ laugh and made a crude remark about being eaten. So B&B is an eminently Catholic take on the crassest of the crass. “King of the Hill” shows that Judge’s wonderful observation and appreciation of real humans is respectful and spot-on, with the attendant watercolor-like graphics–like the flush on Bobby’s cheeks–to show it.

Beavis and Butthead (huhuhuhuh, 'nuff said).
MST3K (season with Mike Nelson - classic lines such as Johnny Longbone’s stew with chicken, onions, chilies, corn, hair etc.)
Married With Children (Al Bundy was always the best!!!)
Sanford and Son (Redd Foxx and his Dummy Son)

Ahh the best shows 🙂

South Park … er… no. Garbage. 🙂

Back when it first came on I hated the show. Then I started to like it. My favorite part (as others have said) was them cracking wise about music videos. The actual “story” parts I could take or leave. I remember they thought “GWAR” was the most awesome thing ever.

I haven’t watched the new ones. Wouldn’t want the kids to see me watching it. Have to set a good example now.

Ya know, I would probably do the same thing if I had kids. You DO have to set a good example. 👍😃

I will always remmeber Bevis and Butthead becaue it was so awesome to find a cartoon on at 10:00 at night.

I was a kid still watching cartoons and was like cool, a cartoon is on at 10:00 p.m. Even as a pre teen kid that did not really understand a lot of the stuff, I thought the show was hilarious.

Now that the show is back, I am watching it again and also think it’s good. The supersize me episode was great and the getting paid to use the bathroom episode was even better.

However, South Park is better. My elementary school even sent a letter out to our parents warning them about the show because we were talking about it so much. And then the school refused to allow use to use it as our favorite show for the 8th grade yearbook. Naturally, we only watched it more. Good times.
