No, his comments, such as the one I quoted there, seem to suggest he is happy to let the superficial meanings of words in colloquial English speak for the Catholic Church, rather than understanding there are deeper meanings.Do you believe that Robert is really that deeply interested in understanding the Catholic view that he is willing to authentically educate himself that deeply into the background of what St Athanasius’s meaning was?
It may be just me, but I see the OP here with a very strong Mormon bias and agenda?![]()
Still, I’m not sure that is his fault. The modern Evangelical faith (“Bible Christians”) is very superficial, and for most doesn’t particularly allow for much contemplation on what things really mean (in spite of the Biblical instruction to meditate on the Word day and night).
