Bedtime Prayer for Beloved Uncle

A little boy, aged 7, has just lost his beloved uncle (KIA). I would like a short prayer to teach the boy to say at his bedtime to remember his uncle.

Any suggestions?:signofcross:
 
The Hail Mary is very powerful. Maybe you should arrange to have a Mass said for him.
 
Of course there will be a funeral Mass for this fallen hero. My concern is for the little boy who does not yet understand his never seeing his uncle again.

The Hail Mary is too long a prayer for a child to memorize; I thought a short prayer at his bedtime just to keep the memory alive and to comfort the child. I want him to know that his uncle is with God and is now safe.

I don’t think its too long…maybe you could teach him. The three children of Fatima knew the pray and they were around his age.
 
I.m sorry - I am obviously not making myself understood.

I want to teach this little boy to say a bedtime prayer that will remind him of his uncle. He will learn the basic Catholic prayers in school.

Now, he needs to know that his uncle is safe with God and he will not continue to mourn the loss.
