I believe there is a lot of misinformation about Islam in the world, so please ask any questions, I studied very hard theologically about Islam so I can answer almost anything accurately.

Do Shia and Sunni Muslims really practice two different forms of Islam, and, if so, is one form more aggressive and violent than the other?

Hi Jakubb, and welcome.
I would be interested to know how Muslims deal with seeming contradictions within the Koran. I am not clear as to how the name of your holy book is spelled, so please excuse any mistake.
Also, what is the Muslim understanding of who Jesus is and on his mother?
May God bless you and your loved ones🙏

First of all, thanks for your participation here. Second, please forgive me, if I don’t state the Muslim teaching correctly, because I am not well-read in it.

It seems to me that Islam asserts that Jesus is not God, but only a man. This was the position of a group of Christian heretics living during the age of your Prophet. It seems that Islam “scooped up” the heretical form of Christianity (Arianism - that Jesus was not God, but only a man).

To the Catholic faith, Arianism is a heresy, all by itself. Naturally we reject any form of that heresy, including the form that was adopted by Islam.

On TV, I have seen some Catholics who have converted to Islam, and I find it difficult that they could make such a large shift in their faith. Not only does Islam reject the divinity of Christ, but even a group of Christians known as “Jehovah Witnesses” also reject the divinity of Christ. But, the mainline Christian Churches, Roman Catholic, Orthodox, most Protestant Churches (Lutheran, Methodist, etc.) believe that Jesus is the God-man, the incarnate God.

Any Catholic who knows his faith would have to reject the Islamic doctrine that teaches otherwise.

Can you comment on this? (Thank You)

Do you believe non-Muslims go to Heaven?

I’m asking because one of the many things Christians and Muslims seem to have in common is the concept of an eternal Heaven and Hell.

In some Christian circles, people need to become Christian or “accept Jesus as the personal Lord and Savior” as they put it in order to go to Heaven.

I think Catholics believe only God knows who goes where when it comes to life after death, that’s what I believe.

So what is the Muslim position on salvation of non-Muslims?

Do Muslims believe that Jesus did not die on the cross and that he had a replacement that looked like him?

Did Mohamed really say at his death that the Jews had to be removed from the Arabian peninsula?

Are four male witnesses really required to prove rape happened?

Is Allahu Akbar a prayer? Why do some Muslims say this before beheading innocent people?

For starters, what were you before?

Yes the biggest issue was with who was going to lead Islam after Muhammad(pbuh) died. This is where Shia & Sunni were created due to the differences in who should lead Islam.

Sunni Muslims have a lot of Hadiths to follow such as Bukhari which make up Shariah and also many other elements of Islam…Shia do not follow these Hadith books or consider them authentic. So while both follow the Quran, there are big differences elsewhere.

Jesus(Isa) is a very important prophet in Islam. It is said when Dajjal(anti christ) comes to earth Jesus(Isa) will come back & this is when the end days will come.

We believe Jesus(Isa) was born via a virgin birth from Maryam who is held in high esteem in Islam. She is chosen above all other women and is the highest role model for women.

Yes I know many Catholics who have converted to Islam also. We see Jesus(pbuh) as a prophet not the son of God. Allah has no son. We believe Jesus(pbuh) never said he was the son of God but that the bible was corrupted by man which added and altered things to make it appears like this is what Jesus(pbuh) said.

We believe Jesus(Isa) was ascended to heaven and did not die on a cross and was not resurrected.

We see Jesus and Moses as important prophets but Muhammad(pbuh) as the final messenger.

Is Islam really a religion of peace?

If so…you have a serious marketing problem…

I read about 7-10% of Muslims are extremist . This ends up being a huge number of individuals.

It seems to me, let me know where I am wrong, that Westernized or Secular Muslims are generally more peaceful because they maybe don’t take their faith as seriously, this would amount to about 10-20%, then there is the 10% extremist we spoke of, then there are about 70% who are somewhere on the spectrum in between.
