Dark thoughts like suicide (although I won’t ever ever do it), just imagining what would it be like if I died, or like strange thoughts like “god hates women” “I wish God doesn’t exist”, and then getting really angry with God. Completely irrational thoughts and behavior that seems to antagonize God. Urge to relapse in certain old behaviors is also strong.

I don’t know what triggered it but I recently realised how weird it is (I mean, if you looked at my other threads…you would probably recommend a therapist). Too broke for a therapist but if it’s the devil making me this way, please help a sister out and pray 😃

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen…

I’d suggest you also use this prayer when you get these thoughts.

Sounds like spiritual warfare to me…get thee to a priest…

Hi

Try praying the rosary every day. Even 5 decades will do. Pray the prayer to St Michael Archangel. Sprinkle holy water where you reside and bless yourself with it when you find yourself getting these thoughts. The evil one can and does place such thoughts in our minds. We think they come from ourselves but often they don’t; they come from him.

Don’t worry. Any therapist will tell you that thoughts are just that; thoughts. You just park them, put them in a box and carry on. Don’t obsess over them. It is ultimately our actions that count.

Peace.

Lea, beautiful Lea.
Those are normal thoughts for people to have at a certain age in their life. If we didn’t question, we wouldn’t be human. Do the best you can with your cross and don’t forget God loves those who seek Him. Questioning is seeking. Your anger at God sounds like a projection from your life and not something truly directed at Him. You will get beyond this!
