Irishmom2 and Road you guys are funny! California is indeed a small place after all :D.
I agree, I need to be patient. Sometimes the secular world is very tempting. But I envision myself with a family where God is the center, and doing His way is the best for us. I just need to trust more, and in the meantime have fun and enjoy my singleness. I do feel Im deepening more in my prayer life, and I do feel a joy because I know God is with me. I just need to continue, even if the road is hard and not easy to get there.

I hear California’s a pretty small place … 😉
Actually Cali is huge. The distance from L.A. to the state Capital is almost 400 miles alone and those are not even close to the most southern and most northern parts of the state. May not seem like that much but that is a six hour drive. One way

Sometimes things just happen, and it could be due to prayer.

My son lives in a very protestant part of the country, so Catholic women are fairly rare. So, he did get on those Catholic dating sites. Some of the women were fine women, but none was “it”, at least that he met.

Then, at a St. Patrick’s Day party thrown by a couple of his ex-classmates halfway across the country, he met the lady who became his wife. Distance didn’t make it easy, but they managed.

Turns out she had been praying to St. Joseph to help her find a suitable Catholic man. When they met, and hit it off immediately, she asked him his middle name. “Joseph” was his response. She nearly fell down. Call it chance if you want, but she will always believe he was persuaded by St. Joseph to go to that party. Me, I kind of think so too.

I cleared up my inbox but I dont see your message. If you can resend that would be great 😊. God bless!

Ohboyohboyohboyohboyohboy!
You guys are funny!

Thank you everyone for your encouragement and kind words. Daily Rosary and praying
the to Our Lady of Knots Novena has been helping me to not get discouraged and keeping continue in the correct path. Im happy to be part of a big community where we all share the same Catholic faith.

My heart goes out to you. It can be painful for girls especially to not find a decent guy this day in age. I promise to pray for you 👍 Hang in there, and maybe a more forward approach?

You are still in that age bracket where it can be very hard to find a practicing Catholic man. I know, I live in California, and while I AM a Catholic man, I know what its like to live in a country/state where Catholic singles are hard to find who are serious in their faith. Luckily I live in a part of the country with lots of Mexicans. Got myself a beautiful Mexican lady who am engaged too, but still with both of us going to college in a very liberal place and because of our age (mid/late 20’s) I see even in her a struggle being waged between the divine, and the secular rants of our modern age.

Unfortunately most folks dont fully embrace religion or anything of the sort until later in life. But dont let that discourage you, keep yourself out there and hopefully you can find a guy who wants a relationship with God. And as always set the example with your life just like they tell us after mass.

I think I will weigh in on this one. I am 37, single, no kids, good job… yadda yadda yadda right? I think the “looks decent” wagon didn’t pass me buy. I’m not 400 lbs living in my parents basement. I iron my own shirts, clean my house, take care of my self okay. I go to mass every sunday (Latin) I don’t carouse around all night in the bars and I enjoy the simple things in life. But for some reason, trying to find a good Catholic girl who wants to date and see where it goes is tough.

After the last girl broke it off, (it wasn’t anything serious) I took inventory and realized that I do have a lot to offer someone, but that I wasn’t getting out there enough. As the only Catholic and single in my group of friends and being an introvert, this is tough. So I am trying to do the online thing. We will see how it goes.

I do have to ask the question though, is it “there aren’t any good ones left” or is it unrealistic expectations? I have wondering if I am asking the wrong question because it is obvious the answer is not what I want to hear. Some things that go through my head.

I do understand where OP is coming from though.

Please don’t despair. There are plenty are very nice Catholic women on CatholicMatch. Check it out.

Lelanie, Don’t worry. You are on the right path. Men your age are just starting to understand that they want to meet a woman who they can take home to meet their mother. The next 10 years are going to be very good for you.

Just relax and enjoy the ride. You usually meet your special somebody when you aren’t looking for them. Either way, it will be in God’s time. Keep the Faith!
As a 45 year never married women, I do need to say, you obviously meant well but this post is not helpful. I can’t count how many times I heard the same thing and I still didn’t meet a husband and I will soon be to old to have kids. Obviously the people who said it to me made a promise they couldn’t keep and that is not nice

I have come to accept being single and am quite happy single. I can’t see being married making me any happier.

The only regret in life I have is I spent so much time worrying about finding a husband. All that time wasted. I think it is just better to learn to accept God’s will and make the best of our situation regardless of marital status
