I have reached the stage where I see darkness everywhere.
My mother has dementia.I remember how she always put me first but it is so hard to cope with her nowadays.
My husband is a very nervous person who has recently had a bypass, has diabetes and suffers from sciatica. Yhese seem to put him in a permanent bad mood. He refuses to believe she really forgets and insists she is pretending. He constantly blows up over insignificant things.
My son is 32. His girlfriend left him after 7 years. He is fat and carrys on eating. He left his job and says he is studying IT. He wastes money that we give him and seems so ungrateful.
I am sure that deep down my husband and son do love me.
Life seems so dark and the future seems so bleek. I feel that God keeps throwing things at me and I just wish for a ray of hope somewhere. I feel so alone.

Everyperson has been where you are, as have I. In a world full of people we feel alone. “The worst part about being alone is not being alone, the worst part is believing you are alone.” You, have never been alone, you are not now alone, nor, will you ever be alone. You, in your weakness, may be the only strength your son and husband see, their only light. And, in dry spiritual times, God “allowes” us to further prove our love to him. God has never given a person more than they can handle. He never gave up on you, giving up on life is giving up on Him.

Peace be with you.

You are in a very difficult and trying time in life and I will keep you indaily prayer for strength and courage and that The Lord will make His Presence known to you with comfort and consolation. Keeping Your mother and your husband and your soon too in prayer and asking that this whole situations resolve itself to the good of all and without undue suffering to any…Barb…

Behold this woman our beloved Jesus, weighed down
under the burden of her trials and sufferings. She
is casting herself at your feet, that you may renew
her strength and courage. Permit her to lay down
her cross in your Sacred Heart, for only your
infinite goodness can sustane her, only your love
can help her bear this cross.
AMEN

I am not able to give you much advice, but the only thing that I recommend is please don’t despair, because God always provides relief, probably more so for those who have faith in Him. God Himself has taken you down this path, let Him guided you. God be with you and your family.

Praying for you in this time of suffering.

May the peace of Jesus be with you.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless

I recommend a wonderful book by Peter Kreeft. It helped me and my family when times were rough. It is so easy to forget about the real meaning of life and why Jesus suffered for us.
Google in the three words
Code:
               Peter Kreeft suffering
to get an idea what his book is about.
I have sent Peter’s book to all my adult children.
Even if you are not presently in the mood to read about the reason for suffering, maybe your son or husband might be the first to benefit from the book. If the book is sitting in your living room someone in your family might have the strength to get the ball rolling. It could be a family book that each of you could underline with different colored magic markers when you find a pertinent fact.
As Bishop Sheen used to say…“Life is worth Living”

God Love you!

Praying for you and your family,May GOD and the HOLY SPIRIY give you comfort,as you, and OUR SAVIOR,bring you through this time of doubt and despair, please keep praying,HAVE FAITH,HE has a plan and purpose,as I have learned here on this forum.

Hat please put all into the LORD’s hands . He knows what is best for you . Jesus said , let not your heart be troubled ! You must rely on our Lord . Pray and rest in him and his word . You need to trust in him . He is working it all out . But you must have faith . I know all seems so sad and dreary , but it is not . God is turning it around for you . You must believe . Lord let Hat’s faith grow and bring changes into this family . Lord bless this family in everyway . Thank you Lord , in the name of Jesus, amen . your brother in Christ, John

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion — inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.

Praying

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Hat, hang in there!

Do not look forward in fear to changes in your life.
Rather look to them with full hope that as they arise
God whose very own you are will lead you safely
through all things. And when you cannot stand it,
God will carry you. Do not fear what may happen
tomorrow, the same everlasting God who cares for
you today will take care of you today and everyday.

~ St. Francis de Sales
