whatever we do, we must be sure in taking part in this and the other Holy Week liturgies, to constantly turn our focus on the most minute words and actions of the priest and other ministers looking for errors and abuses. above all, avoid anything which distracts us from being self-appointed liturgy police, such as meditation on the passion of the Lord. if we can complain and report those abuses in such a way as to denigrate the pastor and ministers, arouse ill-feeling in the parish, and publicize our own superior understanding of liturgy, so much the better
