So I have been wanting to be a nun since i was in the 5th grade when i had my first communion. I have made some very poor dicitions with my relationships with guys and i dont want to keep sinning at all i am typically a really good person i just need more boundries wich is fine but i broke up with my boyfrind because it seems as if all i want from him is a physical conection and i dont need that i want to become closer to god and i would like some prayers on this because i want to be closer to god and i want to fill the vocation in wich i think gods calling me to be a nun…
god bless

One of the greatest things that God does for us is forgive us even the worst of sins. He also will lead and guide us forward to the life He has planned for us if we let Him. Confess your sins and commit to letting God rule your life then it all falls into place.

You might look into several orders to see if their lifestyle, what they do and all that, is something you are drawn to. Me, if I had been able to be a nun it would have been the Carmelites. But age, and a few other things, got in the way. When you get some information, try to develop a daily “plan of action” that you can do to work towards one day being a nun. This will also help you in your discernment. There are numerous orders out there, and most have a way of supporting themselves. One place, I think it was in Texas, raises miniature horses. Keep praying and keep up the good work of being faithful to God and His call.

You could make use of the Sacrament of Reconciliation and receive communion also. By these, many graces will be given to you to help you.

You know I discovered that as I go to confession especially when I’m having problems with a particular sin, as well as receiving absolution, I find that God ribs me with the “fed up yet?” question just to annoy me, no kidding!. In this I feel so humiliated that I need once again to “report” the same thing over again. It’s a real incentive for me, as I am annoyed that I have failed once again. It takes me less time to fight a sin this way. God knows his people, hey?. 😉

Confession is really, as my grandkids use the word …Super! 1/You mend your relationship with God, 2/are absolutely saved if you die in that state (the protestants are always looking for ways to get this, you figure.), and 3/you receive “fed up yet?” guidance rib pokers from the Boss. 🙂

Can’t figure why people would rather settle for a second best religion after Christ established his Catholic Church.

Go to Adoration just to be close to God. And pray to the Holy Spirit for guidance.
