:)hia i am a roman catholic and i suffer with mental illness i am on medication for it, can you please pray for me that when i dont feel very well at times that i wont doubt my faith.usualli i doubt my faith but when the morning comes off i go to mass.⭕)

Certainly (I struggle with depression and anxiety, and am a recovering self-harmer)

Hello I suffer with OCD/anxiety. It is a constant struggle but God will always help us get through it. I will include your intentions in my prayers. Take care.

Dear Billyluv,
You are a treasured Child of God. I, too, have a mental illness or I like to say a Chemical imbalance. That is the root of mental illness. Our relationships w family can cause the imbalance to appear. If treated hurtfully, our scars can run deep to make our symptoms worse. Finding the right medicine is important. It helps those Chemicals to flow more normally. Always, work w your Doctor and family. You, probably have other people in you family affected but it could be a different expression of chemical imbalance.
God is always there for us. Take your meds, go to doctor… daily mass is so special. There are miracles but if you don’t get one, God is still there and loves you. How you live your life as a witness for Christ while having the privilege to carry His cross is beautiful. The grace and strength that you get from
Christ in His Body and Blood is a miracle. WHEN I AM WEAK, HE IS STRONG. There is a God. I worked as a critical care RN. There were many deaths over 44 yrs of work. I could see God present in my pts as they saw angels or dead relatives waiting across a bridge w Jesus. One pt was dying, we were shocking her heart and when she came back, she’d scream,
"SAVE ME, DON’T LET ME GO THERE “.
One day I’ll get into the habit of daily mass and going to gym. I love Jesus so, but my body is broken after 44 yrs of nrsg and I can’t rush anymore. Meds I’m on have me oversleep. One day, I’ll get my act together.

Maybe your plan is talking to schools about mental illness, how it affects you. being on medication,etc.
THINK ON IT. WHY WERE YOU BORN,to love God and to serve him.

Praying for you here and urging that yiu get a full physical check… I was accused and it was accused of being mentally ill for decades when it was and is a physical illness…

Hi billyluv. I understand. I suffer from depression, anxiety and PTSD. I am on 6 different psych meds just to make it through the day and to be able to sleep at night. My faith is all I have. There are days that I feel so alone in this suffering. But, I am not. As we both can see, we have a lot of brothers and sisters who carry the same cross we do.

Here is what I have done. I pray to St. Dymphna and keep her medal and her image close to me. Some might not recommend it, but I got a tattoo of my Providence Associate cross on my left wrist as a constant reminder of the prayers of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin and of trust in Divine Providence. The tattoo is very small 1 1/2 inch x 1 inch. I need something tangible too at. You might not need something like this.

billyluv, let us pray for each other that St. Dymphna will intercede for us and that our Father God will give us the grace and strength to bear this cross.
