I should probably post this elsewhere, but I hang in this forum a lot so I thought I’d share this with all of you. I’ve been extra reflective as of late. I wasn’t baptized/confirmed until the Easter Vigil in 2008, so I wasn’t 100% totally a part of the Church last Christmas. This advent season has made me remember how lucky I am …

I love being Catholic; I love having the fullness of Truth; I am eternally grateful to our Father for having opened my eyes to Him. My life has changed drastically since He opened my heart, and although it hasn’t always been easy, it’s been totally worth it! I have been so blessed to have found the Catholic faith & to have recognized that I’m being embraced in God’s loving arms. To grow up not knowing God, and then find Him all at once is overwhelming and amazing and … words cannot express …

Thank You for being there for me even when I couldn’t see You. Thank You for never giving up on me. Thank You for always keeping Your promises. I can rely on You in ways I could never rely on anyone else. Thank You for showing me life!

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be. World without end. Amen!

Merry Christmas 🙂

EmBee, I am not a convert, but a revert. I know exactly how you feel.

My life is fuller, happier, and more peaceful since I returned fully to the Church. I can’t imagine my family without that backbone we have built it upon. Even during the bad times, when I am angry and railing at God, when I am close to despair and wondering if He is punishing me… I am glad I came back and I will never be so stupid as to willingly give up my faith ever again.

Hello…

Great post and thanks for posting.

I am a Cradle Catholic, but really appreciate and am inspired your words. I love and appreciate my faith too, but nice to have a reminder now and then on what a gift we have been given…

Great message during this season…

Have a very Merry and Blessed Christmas!

Thank you for your thankful sharing. We’re delighted for your happiness and faith. I ask Jesus to continue to flood you with blessings, peace, and joy.

Happy and holy Christmas to you too!

I’m a convert as well and VERY HAPPY to be home this Christmas! Praise be to God for leading all of us converts / reverts back home!

Joe

Oh wow! I feel the exact same way as you. I am not yet catholic but I am so grateful for having learned the truth about God and His Church. Last Sunday I almost cried at mass because I was suddenly so overwhelmed that I was soon finally going to be able to be apart of His Church. The church was decorated so beautifully for Christmas and I could really feel the Lords presence…something that never happened at a protestant church. I cannot wait until Easter vigil!
