Hello
As I am going through rcia now,I am also starting some spring cleaning(spiritually too).As I am going through the home,I found 3 niv bibles from my short time at the lutheran church.I was given a nab bible with the nihil obstat marked inside it from my parish. This is the only one I read. What is the propper way to dispose of a niv bible?Or should I just keep it?I have knoticed that some of the wording is different and just the fact that its not a Catholic bible means I will never read it again.
One of the three nivs was given to me by a very funadamental non-denomenational cousin of mine(big study bible-big dollars).Needles to say me and hime have had many bitter disputes since I came to faith in Jesus.Should I offer to give it back?If not,I know when he hears I got rid of it,he will be hurt/angry.What is the Catholic view on the niv?
