Dear Lost_Sheep,

Patience is necessary for our salvation – it is not a mere option. God only forsakes those who first forsake Him – please believe me. Saints have said the same thing. God bless you.

To Lost Sheep: You sound like a man who needs a Christ encounter. We humans are not the Saviour. We can advise, we can witness our own problems and solutions, we can pray we can love, but we can’t convert, or change your mind, or give healing. Conversions admit of many levels. But the primary conversion is a one on one relationship with Jesus, it really changes our lives. We get humility by being humbled by life situations. God has a way of doing that . We humans are so inclined to be self sufficient, when in truth we are completely dependent. God give grace to the humble and resists the proud. Are we proud when we dictate to God our needs, and our allegiance to Him depends on Him bowing to our dictates, are we self-willed, and self-centered. We all need a personal encounter with Jesus, to experience what it is to be liberated from our misery, and being an adopted son of God. It is futile to seek it elsewhere. I would say that Satan is riding your back and you are blaming God for it. Of course you may not believe me. If you don’t Satan may bring your present state lower, and thats not good. Jesus is the only one who can give you what you need. He can give you His Spirit who gives the virtues of Faith
, Hope, and Love. these Virtues can produce peace, joy, and love, fullness of life, and spiritual healing. The Holy Spirit is the Healer of the Psyche, He made it. I offer this prayer to you whether you accept it or reject it is between you and The Father.

Holy Father, Creator, I acknowledge my total dependence upon You. You love me through not merit of my own because You are love itself. I thank you for sending Your son Jesus Christ to bring back to You. I am sorry for all of my offenses. In the Name of Jesus I ask you Father to release Your Holy Spirit in me. Inflame my soul with Faith, Hope, and Love, and all the virtues. Grant me your holy joy and the peace the world can not give. Heal me in body and soul. Expel all the is anti-Christ from me, and glorify Jesus in me. Glorify your kingdom hear on earth. I worship you with Mary, the Angels and the Saints now and forever. 😉

I am always depressed. I will be depressed until the day I die. Still, in my brokenness, I find a way to love and be of service to others. The needs of my family and friends are unending. The sadness I feel will never go away. I have accepted that. But I have to forge on in spite of that reality. I am productive as much as I possibly can. I had tragedy in my childhood which I have never gotten over. No one in this world can make it better. So, here I am. Placing my trust in God in everything, good and bad. God doesn’t make things bad. Life has darkness. God gives us the grace, the strength, and the courage to endure our hardships if we ask Him. He gives us joy in little-and big things-if we just see them as such. He loves us from our mother’s womb until our natural death. He willed us to be born. The way to be happy is to know, love, and serve Him. Our whole life is a journey to learn about Him and become more like Christ. We grow in virtue. Choose God. Choose to follow Him. Whatever is past is done. Start over with a new and changed heart, mind, and soul. Speak to a priest, make a good confession. And do not miss Mass.

Everyone is entitled to choose what to think and what to believe. That is the beauty of God’s creation of man – a total free will.

With this free will, someone chooses to believe all he has achieved are out of his own efforts. He gives God no credit but blames God for any problem he has. This person has no gratitude only complaint.

Someone else decides all he has achieved are from God’s blessing – his intellect, ability, fortitude, the right opportunity sent to his way, his hard working spirit, all these are God given. He believes his own efforts get nowhere without God’s blessing. Like the Bible says: *Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain. *(Psalm 127:1 ) This person is full of gratitude. He works out his problems with God. He trusts in God and never feels alone.

Talking about being happy, which person do you think may be happier?

With God all things are possible. Dear sister in Christ. I know where you are coming from. I too had a hard childhood, abandoned, lonely always anxious, insecure and basically unloved. In retrospect I see in Gods’ providence that His hand was upon me. He saved me from a worse fate… I spent a lot of time in the world of serious thought trying to see what life was all about, seeking a solution to my unhappy state in life. God provided me with the necessities of life through Christians who gave their livies to care for people like me. God led me to love my faith, and grow in love for Him. He gave me understanding why humanity is the way it is and He did it quit convincingly, experientially. It involved a lot pain, but it was necessary. With understanding I was able to forgive those that caused my pain, because I saw them as victims of forces that were evil. I saw too that they didn’t have Christ in their lives they were spiritually handicaped, they could not give me what they didn’t have. I discovered my own handicaps. God healed a lot of my pain. Sadness was one of them. Now I tell the Devil to take a flying leap into Hell.in the Name of Jesus. I see very clearly what he is doing to humanity, and I see what Jesus did to him. When we walk with Jesus , we have our dark nights, some don’t call it darkness but light. We are being purged, (Gold be purified in the fire of Love). Now when Jesus wants to use me, and He does, and people recognize this, what they see is a "cracked vessel of clay’ And they say it couldn’t be him, its got to be God.🙂 and God receives more praise that way for such a miracle. You would be surprised where the greatest persecutions come from. I can laugh, and find great pleasure in making other people laugh. I’m my greatest cross, so I say to Jesus “What do you expect” see I can talk to Him that way, and keep on trucking down the highway of life, confident in His love for me, you and our brothers and sisters. So ask the Father in the Name of Jesus to heal you, and keep bugging Him, He loves it.👍

ynotzap, you have my thoughts exactly. Thank you and God bless. Still praying for Lost Sheep to find a way to peace.

Why would He give us Hope, if what we hope for was not possible. I believe St. Paul made reference to this statement. I could add a lot more of events in my life which could demonstrate this truth, but I don’t think this forum would allow it. I know St.Paul is making references to our final end , and Heaven, but the truth of this hope can also be in reference to this life. There is also the truth that we are members of the Mystical Body of Christ made so by our Baptism. St. Paul states that we make up in our bodies what is lacking in the sufferings of Christ. When the body becomes infected, the whole body goes into action to stem the infection. Sin is the spiritual infection, so we participate in Christs sufferings. We receive courage based on our love for Christ, and He sustains us. I pray we all receive this
power of Hope and its fruits, peace, love, and joy.😉 St. Padre Pio stated that sadness is the death of the soul. Look to Jesus.

The only way to peace is through Jesus Christ and in Jesus Christ, and I’m afraid it appears Lost_Sheep has given up on Him. Lost_Sheep truly is a lost sheep (I mean no disrespect) and needs to come back to his senses, and to the Father. I believe Almighty God has been sending messengers to Lost_Sheep on this thread in HIs attempt to get Him back, but unfortunately Lost_Sheep won’t listen and doesn’t seem to want to change his wayward thinking and heart. He won’t even pray for a change of heart because he feels like he is a victim and that God is his enemy and debtor Who actually owes him something. He hasn’t a clue how ungrateful he is being to Jesus Who suffered the very worst of tortures and even death on a cross so that he could spend eternity in bliss with Him in Heaven. We all know that God loves us more than we love our very selves and only wills what is the very best for our souls (anyway, we all should know this), but Lost_Sheep doesn’t seem to have a clue about this supernatural truth and shows that he refuses to believe it. Let us pray for a change of heart for him and hope that he can figure out that Almighty God is Lord and that in *Him alone *lies our true happiness. May he stop being most ungrateful and opposed to Almighty God and seek peace in Jesus Christ, and in following His holy Will. May he surrender his own will up to God in exchange for God’s own. God bless you.

It is my regular prayer for the conversion of the lost. Those who love Jesus must do reparations for those who don’t. OP and other lost sheep are all in my prayers. God bless!

Lost sheep, you are not so lost after all. Possible, but not probable. You can see the light, otherwise you couldn’t say “Possible” Like I said "You need to encounter Christ on a personal level, to show that your not just a number, but special to God. Reach out to Christ and He will reach out to you. He did to me when I hit an impenetrable wall. He had me where He wanted me, He showed me that He was truly my Saviour I had to be humbled, painful but absolutely necessary. In doing so He confirmed me in my Faith, and in my love for Him,and His love for me.😉

If I look out my front window right now, it is “possible” that I could see a herd of elephants marching down my street. But I don’t think it’s very likely.

You are entitled to what you think, is it possible that you are a prisoner of your own thoughts or of someone else’s. Just wondered for what its worth. I’m not trying to convert, its not my department.🙂

Wishing you a blessed New Year, Lost_Sheep!

With my love and prayers,

I’ve just always had trouble with the notion that Jesus “died for my sins.” What’s the connection here? What made his death different from any other? How did his death magically “save” sinners?

My brother in Christ: I too became cynical and distrusting of people. I became very disillusioned since I was very naive, I really trusted people. I saw a lot of hypocrisy in my neighbor but didn’t see the hypocrisy in myself. (the beam and the eye parable) I fought the establishment only to fracture when I hit the impenetrable wall of human corruption. I mean I suffered. I always had the Churches teaching in the back of my mind, but I had to experience the reality of Her teaching. My whole family suffered, my fellow workers suffered , and I suffered. Like St. Paul, I was locked in the conviction that I was perfectly right in the judgement of my fellow man, Paul thought he was serving his God, by persecuting Christians until he received enlightenment from Jesus. Jesus taught me that what I judged to be hypocritical, was “accidental hypocrisy” we all have it, and don’t know it, it lies deep in our soul, it is pride. God had to show me that no matter how hard I tried to save myself and others that I couldn’t. He showed me dramatically, supernaturally. that He alone is the Savior of mankind. Anybody who tries will fail, and we do try. See, I act as a proficient, I learned from my faith, and try to save myself by enacting all I know spiritually, (in effect being my own Savior) God saved this special problem to show me that He was the only Savior. I thank Him for the happy fault. Now I can share this with my brothers and sisters. He confirmed me in my Faith. My story is an awesome one If you knew all the details, which include Gods’ supernatural graces He gives to His children… Satan has control over mankind, Jesus came to redeem man from Satans dominion over men. His death was the price He paid to win back mankind from Satans" dominion. He gave it freely, no one took it from Him. Jesus roped a real dope. You will only understand this truth through the gift of faith in Jesus who will bestow His Spirit of Truth on all who ask Him. But ask Him humbly and approach Him for who He is .Incidentally Jesus also introduced me to “evil spirits” they are real. I probably lost the world on that truth, but I know better.I Thank God with all my mind and heart. Now I know what we are fighting and so does the Catholic Church She is solid as a Rock ::Magical has to do with fantasy, supernatural has to do with reality. Read Luke 4:18 if you are inclined to May the Force be with you! 👍 I find it very hard to do this witness justice there is so much left unsaid to throw more light on the subject so please bear with my limitations, thanks

Man’s sin against God offends Him (who is infinitely good) infinitely; thus, someone infinitely good (a God-man) was needed to make recompense in an infinite way, as only God can. This Jesus Christ did by shedding His Blood for all of us. One man (Adam) and his sin gave us all suffering and death. Another man (Jesus) and his Blood gave us reconciliation to God and eternal life. God bless you.
