Our blessed Mother experienced loneliness and displacement on that first Christmas.
Able only to find the poorest of lodgings far from home, a stable, and with no accessable family aside from Joseph, Mary knew what it was like to feel isolated.

Jusus said that whatever we do for even the least of His little ones, we do for Him (Matthew 25:40)

Where possible, let us not leave the vulnerable and the lonely without care at this season of His birth.

In this festive season where family togetherness is all around them yet not theirs, please let them find welcome and company.Lord, grant them personal experience of Your love and of their unity with humankind.

Merciful Lord, please embrace our brothers and sisters who have no earthly family, through death, separation, alienation, infirmity, or due to distance from loved ones.

Inspire us with the love and sensitivity to include them in in whatever way is possible.
Deepen our awareness of human fraternity with everyone, so that we may convey to anyone who may have no close family, nor any particular attachments, that we are brothers and sisters in Christ, and that they are lovable and loved persons.

Bless their lives with companionship with others, and lead them by avenues that will give them eternal communion with the family of Heaven.

It’s very important to remember those who won’t be having a happy time this year and keep them in our prayers.

Thank you Trishie, for the reminder.
Also people who may have lost a loved one…
