Being tempted isn't a sin, right?

Remember the topic, “Female Mastrubation?” Remember when I posted it, because I don’t, but from then to now so far I’ve behaved myself and NOT given into temptation. Although, the big reason is that I feel like someone (my guardian angel, perhaps?) is standing behind me with a ruler old-school Nun style about to wack my fingers if I do, which, of course, is the most effective means for me. LOL

But the weirdest things have been triggering temptation in me lately- talking about pregnancy and childbirth. Not sex.

For the record, I’m a woman. As if you couldn’t get that from the opening lines up there. 😊

Feeling temptation and not giving in to it isn’t a sin, is it? I can’t do weekly confessions anymore because of my job schedule, so I have to either schedule in advance to go home early on certain days or to have confession on my days off, so I’m trying to avoid the near occasion of sin, since it isn’t easy to get these things off my mind after I’ve done them now.

If you mean, being tempted, and refusing to give in to it- then I think Jesus was tempted by Satan and he did not give in to it.
Since Jesus never sinned, I guess this is not an example of sinning.

What is it they say? If you’re NOT under attack-- be worried! 😉

Good, there have been times when I’ve been greatly tempted and haven’t given in, but I worried I was being rotten to God anyway.

Take it easy, take it easy. His burden is easy, his yoke is light.

Notsmart I like what you wrote. Watch out when you think you are good at avoiding or ignoring temptation because its about to come big time. Pride cometh before the fall.

I believe that we all have a proclivity to sin, and different levels of ability to recognize and treat it. Right now, I am not able to recieve the graces catholics do in confession but I can preform penance and fasting and almsgiving, and other things. So, it does help if you can use more in your spiritual arsenal to help you in these times. I am already enduring much temptation, and wont be all too surpriesed if I fall down, but will try to get up again.
