Dear Lord:

Thank you for opening my eyes and proividing me with the knowledge of computers in order that I have found this forum. I am thankful and grateful that you have put this program together for many catholics, new and craddle, together in order to help us work through many obsticles in our lives, families and marriages. Most of all Lord, I thank you for helping us to reach out and touch someone we might not otherwise have known. I know we all have question in which we seek answers, Please guide each and everyone of us in the avenue in which you would want us to go, for I ask that it be your will be done, Lord, and not mine. Amen,

AMEN!

This forum has been a true blessing to me. I hope it will be the same for you and many others!

Hello there,

You seem to have a nice attitude of gratitude which reminds me somewhat of this little reflection below which I wrote in our Bible study group recently.

Philippians 3 – 4

An Attitude of Gratitude

An attitude of gratitude is the title of a cassette tape I had some years ago. Though the tape wasn’t about St. Paul I think its title and theme sums up Paul’s attitude perfectly. His certainly was an attitude of gratitude. Ever since his incredible conversion he lived, worked, and wrote accordingly. Judging by his wonderful writings here and elsewhere (the bulk of the New Testament) it’s easy to determine his mindset. He knew of course exactly what he had left behind, and he knew exactly what he had gained. He thus considered all of his former worldly pursuits as mere trash compared to Christ. I often feel the selfsame way myself. When I consider what might have been, and what could have been had I not rejected a lot of trash from a very early age. I still feel however it wasn’t early enough, nor to this day complete enough. Something for me to think about approaching Lent.

If I could start all over again I would pursue only the spiritual. We are fools I now know ever to consider or to entangle ourselves in anything else. I’m drifting from the text again I know but I’m writing as I think. Funny too how my mind does think, drift, and dream a little whilst studying Gods word, and writing these reflections. I’m thinking now about a radio programme I used to listen to many years ago called Unshackled. It was the heartrending true stories about people who were terribly bound by sin, circumstances, and Satan. They were always very good stories, usually with a very happy ending when the victim souls would regain their freedom from the chains that bound them for so long to sin and Satan. Hence the very apt and wonderful title Unshackled.

I’m so glad myself, and so grateful too that I have this love for the spiritual which seems to grow ever so deeper when I’m alone and silent. Though I can enter that silence too on occasions even amidst a crowd, in a café, on a bus, train etc. So then, I guess like Paul I’m also a dude with an attitude. That is,** An Attitude of Gratitude. 🙂

What a lovely prayer!

I’m very grateful that I’ve found this forum as well. It’s helped me to get some perspective on some important things in my life, and it’s helped me grow in my faith journey. It’s wonderful to have a place where lots of us can get together and help each other grow in faith and love.

Amen! I think that it is important to be thankful for all the joy that we recieve in our lives. Let us give thanks to God every morning for the sunshine and rain; not to mention our food.

People now in days should try to value their life more and be more enthusiamic about how they are handling their day to day routines. Thanks you Lord Jesus Christ for my blessing and may this forum continue to be peaceful! Amen:cool:
