Congradulations! Are you considering joining either Church in order to receive the Eucharist?

Thanks for the link, I learned something new. 🙂
There are those within the Orthodox Church who do not recognize it. My senior thesis takes this view point, as do I.

It is a part of the Orthodox Church in America, which itself is not recognized by the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople.

Just because you or someone else does not recognizes does not mean that they do not exist. I do not recognize the SSPV as a valid Catholic society but they do exist and consider themselves as Catholics and I do acknowledge them as a group even if they are wrong.

True; I should have chosen my words better.

Do I have that authority to open dialogue with the Catholic Pope? . .

I will be praying that you consider looking at the authority of the Catholic church and becoming in union the Pope.
That depends on the current dialogue between the Russian Patriarch and the Catholic Pope.

Which, of all the dialogues going on between the Orthodox Churches and Catholic Church, has the least prospects for reunification.

I’m thinking of the Church in the main context of the major Ecumenical Councils.
