I found this article on fb. The second page talks about the ossuary of Caiaphas being found, and inscribed with “Miriam daughter of Yeshua son of Caiaphas, priest of Maaziah from Beth Imri”

Ever since the Talpiot Tomb made news, I’ve been terrified that an ossuary belonging to Jesus “Yeshua” and Mary “Miriam” might be found and our faith might be ruined.

Is it certain that these names on the ossuary belong to Caiaphas’ family and not our Lords?

Yehoshua (Yeshua) was a very common name for Jewish males, about one in seven, in fact. Furthermore, we have proof that Jesus’ corpse disappeared from His sealed and guarded tomb. Don’t be fooled by this type of sensationalism that it really designed just to sell articles with advertising.

There is NO chance. Christ is truly risen and sits in glory at the right hand of His Father. Do not be tempted to despair by these mechanisms of Satan.

So, there’s no chance that this article is possibly talking about Jesus’ ossuary? And no chance it will be found in the future?
Of course not. The Holy Image on the Shroud of Turin is miraculous and is also proof that our Lord’s body disappeared off of the face of this earth.

So there’s no chance, whatsoever?

Your question has already been answered twice. So, for #3 – no.

If you continue to have doubts, I’d suggest that you read the books about our Lord’s burial cloth. They are well worth the time and the small expense.

Ian Wilson is the best on its hidden history:
THE SHROUD, Wilson, 2010

Heller details the 1978 investigation and how the disappearance of Jesus corpse from His burial cloth did not disturb or cause any tearing to the linen fibers. If His body had been removed instead of vanishing, His bloody wounds would have cause the linen fibers of the cloth to be torn.
REPORT ON THE SHROUD OF TURIN, Heller

Mark Antonacci explains how the British Museum lied about the C-14 dating results and why they had to do that. He also shows how the real C-14 dates add proof to the idea that Jesus’ corpse disappeared from His tomb.
TEST THE SHROUD, Antonacci, 2010

Interesting…

What ever happened to the name Immanuel? Why wasn’t He called that?

Terrified, honestly? If your faith is so fragile as that, then you need to read less archeology journals and spend more time reading Scripture and in spiritual formation. Read something to strengthen your faith. Guaranteed it is not belief.net!

These were common names in the time of Jesus. Jesus had no children, excluding a daughter named Miriam. Jesus’ father was named Joseph, not Caiaphas.

Such drivel does not cause “our faith to be ruined”.

Have you read the Gospels? It would be a much better use of your time. After you read one, we can discuss this question.
So there’s no chance, whatsoever?
If you do not believe what is written in the Bible, I do not think you meet the criteria for being a Christian. If that is the case, then why would it matter what this article has to say? You can believe it, without it affecting your “faith” or lack of it!
I have OCD. Don’t be so uncharitable.
It would seem to me that one of the BEST treatments for OCD would be to read the Scripture, and memorize it, so that you can hold the Truth in your head instead of BS. Believing lies only increases anxiety.

One would assume that reading Scripture and following what it says would also help one be more charitable. Maybe you should follow your own advice.
Just a thought.

It is not charitable to confirm others in error. Charity is speaking the Truth. Just because someone says something that hurts your feelings does not mean they are being “uncharitable”.

22Be merciful to those who doubt; 23save others by snatching them from the fire; Jude

If a Christian is in doubt, reading belief.net is like standing on the cliff ready to fall into a fire! Especially such articles that deny what the Scriptures teach about Jesus.

I didn’t seek it out. It popped up on fb and since it was about Jesus I rightly thought it would be good to read, not counting my OCD.

Yes, I have had the same experience. THere are many things, I would say most things, on Facebook that draw my interest. FB monitors your usage - links you follow and even the words in your messages to determine what your interests are, then chooses ads that will draw your attention.

Once you find yourself in a place that fosters doubt about your faith, or especially one that “terrifies” you, the best thing to do is leave immediately.

Of course not.
Ok, it’s just the names Miriam and Yeshua worried me that they could be Jesus’ tomb, after all the hoopla over the Talpiot tomb.
Also I worry archaeologists might find another tomb and say it’s Jesus’ and or His family.

It’s true. The Roman Catholic Church does know where Jesus’ bones are. But they’ve not been keeping it a secret. Jesus’ bones are in heaven along with the rest of his glorified, resurrected body. He’s still using them! 💀

Rest easy. Have Faith ,immerse yourself in the word of God and pray yourself of this fear.
In all Charity, if scrolling through Facebook presents articles, memes. or other materials that cause such a crisis of faith, I would avoid it altogether.
