Ok, it’s just the names Miriam and Yeshua worried me that they could be Jesus’ tomb, after all the hoopla over the Talpiot tomb.
I am not sure how you got here. You said it was Caiaphus tomb? How did Jesus’ tomb get into it?

The Church of the Holy Sepluchre is build over Jesus’ tomb.
Also I worry archaeologists might find another tomb and say it’s Jesus’ and or His family.
I am confused why you would waste any “worry” on this. Who cares if people make up stories? In fact, it is likely that people will continue to make up stories, as they have done since the beginning.

The Soldiers Bribed to Lie
11 As they were on their way, some of the guards came into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened. 12 After the priests[a] had assembled with the elders and agreed on a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money 13 and told them, “Say this, ‘His disciples came during the night and stole him while we were sleeping.’ 14 If this reaches the governor’s ears, we will deal with him and keep you out of trouble.” 15 They took the money and did as they were instructed, and this story has been spread among Jewish people to this day." Matt, 28

I was curious too so I looked it up…found this on catholic.com:
Matthew was clearly aware that Mary and Joseph did not name their child Emmanuel. However, he sees the meaning of the name Emmanuel (“God with us”) as being perfectly fulfilled (Is. 7:14) in the fact that Jesus is the presence of God.

And to the OP, Jesus and Mary were extremely popular names back then, don’t fall for sensationalism.
Are YOU sure that this ossuary in the article isn’t that of Jesus and Mary
AND are you sure archaeologists will NEVER find an ossuary that contains Jesus and or Marys bones?

I was wrong. It’s not Caiaphus’ ossuary. It’s his relative.
It really does not matter. The Bible is God - Breathed, so the Truth that is revealed to us in the pages of Scripture is more valuable than all archeology finds that were ever, or will ever be found!
The names Yeshua and Miriam.
I am sorry. I do not understand how these common Jewish names have anything to do with Jesus, the Son of God.

Only those of us who have accepted God’s revelation of Himself to humankind can be “sure” of such things. Persons who do not accept what God has revealed about HImself will be tortured by doubt.

I am sure they will not find Jesus’ bones. Imagine if they could! Christianity would have been destroyed right there, on the spot. Instead, they had to concoct crazy ideas to try to describe the empty tomb.
The Resurrection is a true fact.

Your question has already been answered twice. So, for #3 – no.
I have OCD. Don’t be so uncharitable.
I have OCD too, Hope. But I don’t use it as an excuse to ask the same question 3 times. It is your insecurity based on what you read that made you ask it after it had already been answered. You could’ve read the earlier responses. The answer is the same.

Let’s put it this way.

Do you believe that Jesus rose from the dead and sits at the right hand of the Father?

If you do, then why should someone possibly finding His ossuary upset you? His physical remains aren’t there. He is with His Father in Heaven.

And even if the ossuary that was found had been His, how would that have ruined our faith? Wouldn’t it have served instead to strengthen our faith?

If your faith is so shaky that you need physical objects belonging to Jesus or used by Him in order to believe in Him, then your faith isn’t even that of a mustard seed. Pray to Him to strengthen your faith and stop believing everything you read on sites like Facebook.

Talpiot Tomb made
This is junk pseudoscience that has been debunked to the umpteenth degree.

This garbage is no better than the National Enquirer claiming Madonna has an alien baby with Elvis.

Those are names Jesus and Mary were called. I think.
Yes, but it said Miriam the daughter of Yeshua.

Mary was the parent, not Jesus. So that shows you right there, that it’s not “our” Jesus and Mary.

Yes. What is confusing is that the article calls Miriam the daughter of Yeshua, when it would have been the other way around. Yeshua, who died for our sins on the cross, is the son of Miriam. I don’t understand why you would jump to the conclusion that these fairly common names of the period would be the same people, when their relationship is clearly opposite?

Read tracts on the Catholic answers website, and don’t follow links from facebook.

If I’m understanding the inscription correctly, it also says that Yeshua is the son of Caiaphas (not Joseph). Am I correct?

Even though THIS ossuary isn’t Jesus’ and His familys’, with it being Lent and all, I’m still worried that the non-Christians will come up with another ossuary or something that could disprove our faith.
