If I’m understanding the inscription correctly, it also says that Yeshua is the son of Caiaphas (not Joseph). Am I correct?
Yeshua was a common name in that time, and it is very possible that there was a Yeshua who had a father named Caiaphas and a daughter named Miriam. Have you ever looked at your own geneology? I have generations of relatives with all the same names!
I’m still worried that the non-Christians will come up with another ossuary or something that could disprove our faith.
Honestly, Hpoe1960, if your faith is so weak that fake news can disprove it, your problem is not with archeology. The problem is that you have not been sufficiently catechized. Are you on a bible reading plan? Do you read the daily Mass Scriptures? This would be a much better use of your time than following spurious facebook links.
What about the Talpiot tomb?
What about it? What reason do you have to pre-occupy yourself with it? Do you think that the earth is not full of random tombs that have people’s names on them?
You seem absolutely determined to obsess about this. I don’t think there’s anything we can do to help you; you don’t believe anything we say.
Therapy and medication can help, but also, refusing to follow Facebook links that lead to spurious distractions.
He already told you. Like I said, you don’t believe anything anyone here says.
I’m very very sorry I tried to help you by answering your questions with some truth. It won’t happen again.
Don’t be sorry. There are many people reading the threads that will benefit from Truth. Hope1960 needs our prayers, and a Spiritual Director.
It certainly doesn’t seem like it.
Now you are rejecting another posters expression of their remorse? That seems quite arrogant.
@Hope1960 the devil and his deceiving spirits are playing head games with you.
Satan probably thinks it’s hilarious that you would let such flimsy lies shake your faith.
Vade retro satana! Begone satan!
Amen!
If you can’t get over this I suggest you seek out both a Priest and a mental health professional to help you.
No matter what!
One more question… Does this sentence mean that the symposium agreed that the Talpiot tomb is NOT Jesus’?
Yes, but it would not matter if they agreed it was. Jesus was raised from the dead, and ascended to heaven. He took His bones with HIm, so His body parts will never be found on earth.
Either you believe what the Bible says, or not.
