Beloved old priest recovering from surgery

I was concerned and pointed it out to my parents and they said he is probably visiting relatives. He has never missed Holy Thursday before and just today my fears were confirmed. I am back at school now and my mom called that he was at mass today, but, sitting while another priest did the mass. He looked emaciated and they said that he just had surgery, without specifying what kind, and asked for us to pray for him. Poor, guy, first our associate pastor got sick and now him. It always happens to the good priests, although I would not wish this on anyone.
Please keep him in your prayers. He is a gifted confessor, good homilist, and all-around beautiful person. I think he was in the priesthood some 40+ years.

Prayer After Surgery

Blessed Savior, I thank you that this operation is safely past, and now I rest in your abiding presence, relaxing every tension, releasing every care and anxiety, receiving more and more of your healing life into every part of my being. In moments of pain I turn to you for strength, in times of loneliness I feel your loving nearness. Grant that your life and love and joy may flow through me for the healing of others in your name. Amen.

Hey guys, I think all your prayers worked. My parents saw the priest saying Mass today for the first time in months and he looks like his old self again, no longer emaciated and sickly. They still haven’t heard what was wrong with him, but, I guess it’s over now.
