I saw this at his inaugural mass. His pallium looks very similar to an eastern bishop’s stole, in fact almost identical. This is opposed to the regular latin pallium that has the tails along the sturnum and spine.

I think that is necessary, I would love greek catholic masses in the west Europe. Not for only easten immigrants but for us.

I read somewhere that this was something that was planned for the next Pope, after JPII, but I’m not sure. I think the thing was that the pallium as it now (with Benedict) was the way ALL palliums originally looked and that what our Popes/Archbishops wore was the adaptation, but again, I’m not sure.

if he could get even 1 eastern group (maybe the now non-recongnized church of jerusalem) to reconcile i would be so happy.Our bothers deserve to live in the glory of the full truth, it is a shame that we are separated by a handful of doctrines.
