Ok I went to mass with my RC friend today.
At the end the priest took a looner that he had left on the alter while giving anouncements and blessing an old married couple and blessed everyone with it. He then took the same looner put it on/in a book and carried it back to the side chapel without any pomp or really anyone knowing what was going on. no candels no nothing. Not even a humeral veil.
That was really a gross liturgical abuse. As I am not Catholic, Orthodox actually, do I have the right to say anything to anyone. His superior perhaps? He is a benedictine. If he is the head of the congregation here should I aproach the local ordinary.
Adoration is one thing. Slopy, mater of fact tossing of a eucharistic lamb is another.
