Does the word benediction mean more than one thing? I looked it up and saw the Rite of Benediction. Is benediction also used to refer to a closing prayer at Mass?

Benediction is simply Latin for “Blessing”.
One can be blessed with the Blessed Sacrament, or by the priest at the end of Mass.

Yes, and when being blessed with the Blessed Sacrament, there is a defined Rite of Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction, which is most likely what the original poster bend when he saw the Rite of Benediction.
