From reliable and trusted Vatican sources, I come to know today that the awaited social encyclical that many, including Cardinal Renato Raffaele Martino, had predicted to come out in December was parked pro tempore [for the time being].
The text, in fact, does not take into due account the current financial storm. Surely, therefore, it will not come out in 2008 and hardly will see the light in the first months of 2009.
