Unless you don’t mind spending money, perhaps you should wait a year or two, just until the new translation of the Roman Missal comes out. There will be changes to the Ordinary of the Mass rendering parts of this Missal inaccurate.

Looks like they got you the very nice Baronius Press 1962 Missal. I would vote that you hang on to it, and maybe attend the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite (aka, the Traditional Latin Mass) sometime.
Yes - as soon as I am finished up with my RCIA commitments at my home parish, my husband and I will be visiting St. Francis de Sales to experience the TLM. It is not a very bad drive from where I live, about 25 minutes or so. We’re going to be in Savannah in early June as well, and we hope to attend the Sunday afternoon TLM at the wonderful old cathedral there.
But it’s for the Canadian Church so the readings will be slightly different since we use the NRSV and not the NAB translation.Living With Christ is also a fantastic magazine to subscribe to! Check that one out, also.
But the magazines do look nice, I will check them out. I’ve been looking for some good Catholic periodicals, beyond the bulletin. 
Really? I never knew that! But the Sunday readings match word for word–you’re talking about just different translations, not that they’re entirely different Scripture readings, right?
The Living With Christ that I use is a Canadian publication from Novalis. Of course it has the same readings as the US, since the Lectionary is the same for all the Latin Rite Catholic Church. Different countries use different translations though. We now use the NRSV translation which replaced the Jerusalem Bible translation.

I see that they are also offering their annual Sunday Missal to the US. That’s the one we offer for sale in our parish. I LOVE the ‘Prayers before Holy Communion’, before Confession, etc in the 1962 missal( I have that same version). However…I attend a NO, so I’d feel foolish taking it with me…even if it is just to pray the prayers before Mass…
I wanted to use a Missal, but the one my MIL and FIL gave me is the black 1962 TLM Missal (like the OP). So I wanted something I could use at Mass or at home on any given day, and be reading the same thing the rest of the Church was (in the NO Mass, that is).

I took my Missal with me all the time, before I subscribed to “Living With Christ”. So go for it! Their Sunday Missal is for the Ordinary Form of Mass but, as the name implies, has the readings only for Sundays, Holy Days of Obligation (we only have 2, you’d have more in the US version) and the Triduum whereas the Living With Christ (complete edition) has readings for each day of the month.I wanted to use a Missal, but the one my MIL and FIL gave me is the black 1962 TLM Missal (like the OP).
