Hi everyone,
I am trying to find music that is good to listen to for the soul. The music I listen to affects me greatly spiritually and mentally, but I find that I can’t seem to get interested in much music. I mostly listen to songs by the band U2, and occasionally classical music like Mozart or Beethoven. Can you recommend any musicians or composers and songs and other pieces that are good for the soul?

Thanks for any suggestions.

For me it’s Gregorian chant and sacred polyphony. That’s for my soul.

Also, various ECM recordings I find very relaxing. One example is the Ralph Towner album Solstice.

You can find examples of the tracks on youtube.

Its a personal thing. Everyone is different. Nobody can tell you what music is good for the soul. It is simply their own opinion for themselves.

Gregorian Chant, Byzantine Chant, and Sacred Polyphony
