Best place online to buy Bible?

Hey everybody,

I’m looking to purchase a Douay-Rheims Bible and I was wondering if anybody knows of a website where you can purchase one? I looked over on amazon but most of them were over fifty dollars! I don’t mind buying used books as long as the Bible is in reasonable condition. Any help would be greatly appreciated. God bless and may you all stay strong in the faith.

If you don’t mind used books then try ebay. I bought one for less than 10 bucks a while back. You can also try allcatholicbooks.com. They care new books at a discount.
 
Loreto Publications has a hardbound version for 40 dollars. Cheaper than the most

I am like you, I like the Loreto one better too. It’s strange considering that the Baronius one is of higher quality. I like the Loreto one better, I think, because of its smaller size. 👍 👍

Yes, and I suppose part of the reason is that, to me, the Loreto edition seems like it was meant to be read…I’m having trouble explaining this but I almost feel like Baronius Press wanted their Douay-Rheims to be more like some sort of replica or relic that looks nice on a bookshelf rather than something to take up and read.

Are the Loreto and Angelus ones the same bible?

Angelus has it as 9 inches x 6 Inches,

Loreto has it as 8 and a half x 5 and a half inches, but the covers are identical.

Could somebody upload a scan or something of the pages of the Loreto or Angelus Douay, I’d like to know what I’m paying for!
