I have decided to start studying apologetics. I am going to type everything and memorize it. I am going to get Biblical reasons, logical reasons, and historical reasons for all my arguments. I am going to memorize Bible verses so I can refer to them to defend the faith.
Code:
I think this way people who are ignorant of the faith will be more accepting of the faith and could possibly convert. I think this is something all faithful Catholics should do.

Additionally, St. Francis of Assisi said "Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words." This is the most important part. We must do as we say. We must be as polite and generous as possible. We must be patient, kind, and not get angry. We must be optimistic. Also, one of the most important things to do is pray. One of the reasons that the early Church grew so rapidly was because of how nice and caring the Christians were. Lets pray to the Holy Spirit that we may have the graces necessary to be the absolute best people we can be in all ways and to understand the faith better.
How do you think is the best way to evangelize?

Well, evangelization and apologetics are not the same thing. First, you evangelize – tell someone about the faith. Then, you apologize – answer their objects with sound reasoning and logic to make a case for the faith.

I’m in a class called Defending the Faith right now. The teacher told us the three most important things you need as “armor” when discussing the Church, history, and doctrines you need: The Bible, the Catechism, and The Faith of the Early Church Fathers by: William Jurgens (is her recomendation), you could also just use scripturecatholic.com
You always need to make sure you pray to the Holy Spirit to help guide you 🙂

And the other person was right about evangelization. You want to wait till someone asks you the questions.

Memorize all you want. But make sure you are memorizing the RIGHT things.

You may also want to purchase the little booklets on Defending the faith by Father Frank Chacon and Jim Burnham, those are other little things she recommended. I got the first and the one on the Eucharist.

Tracts or pamphlets are a good way to evangelize. You can get the Pillar of Fire, Pillar of Truth pamphlets from Catholic Answers along with some others. Also, here is a website where you can print some out for free:
