Between these two bible reading plans, which do you think is better?

Ok, so I’ve come across two Catholic plans for reading the (Catholic) bible in a year. One is found presentationministries.com/brochures/FrAlPlanReadingBible.asp there. It was developed by a priest and is meant to be complimentary to the liturgical year. The other is found www.chnetwork.org/readguide04.pdf there. It is meant to take you through both the bible and the catechism in a year. Though there doesn’t seem to be consideration for the church year, or how what you’re reading in the bible might connect with what you might read in the catechism, it does get you through them both in the course of a year.
Which do you think is better or would be more fruitful?

I’m going through the second one right now (albeit at a breakneck pace of about 6 days per day). What I like about it is the separate tracks. As you’ve no doubt noticed, it divides the Bible into 3 parts. Every day, it advances the bulk of the OT, the wisdom books (Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Songs, Wisdom, Sirach), and the NT. So you aren’t hit with weeks on end of Psalms (it’s not bad to read; it just gets tedious if that’s all you’re reading), you aren’t hit with days where you just read Leviticus, you aren’t hit with a day or two for the start of 1 Chronicles (1 Chr 1-9. NINE WHOLE CHAPTERS of genealogies).

And yes, I realize 60 days is stupidly fast. Someone on Catholic Memes had the idea. I’m just going along (7/1-8/30)

Following this plan was very cool to me because for the first time, I was reading familiar passages but completely in context and in order, whereas daily mass readings are not always so. So it gave me a new perspective and tied some things together for me that I had missed before. I am currently on my third time through it.

I haven’t seen the other one you linked that follows the liturgical year - that sounds interesting to me and I am going to look into it!

LPS, please let me know what you think of it. I think I have decided to follow the CHM plan, but I’d like to know how the other one has worked for folks!
