While feminism is no Saint, the use of ‘envy’ seems a little tone deaf.
 
Agree.
Why is it ok to be feminist, but not ok to be manist?
Why is it ok to be a black supremacist, but not a white supremacist?
Why do women complain that men want a beautiful woman, when they themselves so not want an ugly guy?
Double standards everywhere.

Thank you. Some people use “feminist” as an insult for any woman who has her own mind and won’t be a doormat.
 
People associated with feminism used to do good things like discouraging drunken behaviour in men and getting women to the right to vote. Now it’s just a circus act and a profession for spouting political lines that have little to do with reality.

So if we find “differences” in political representation, economics, personal, and social matters, then that’s inherently bad?

That’s the problem…feminists can’t provide a “test” to evaluate their own desired end state.
 
But you still have to provide us a test. You gave us a definition, finish the work and give us the test for it.
 
Sure, you give me the litmus test for democracy, first.

Clearly, that’s an equally impossible task as what democracy means, as evidenced by our diverse political affiliations, is different for everyone.

Feminism is much the same - there are markers as to what indicates equality in general just like there are markers indicating a democratic system of government but when you get into the nitty gritty people will have different ideas of what the looks like.
 
We’re not a democracy, we’re a republic, and the tests and definitions for how that works and its boundaries are in the Constitution. All worked out nice and neat by rigorous thinkers.

Start there, and give us a definition for feminism…since you raised that as the standard.

Well in part that’s because we have a less rigorously educated people (than those who wrote the Constitution); today’s noisy activists don’t understand that a right exists because a duty is first given!

Rights exist to allow people to accomplish duties of various sorts.

If this extra bit doesn’t make sense to you, well that sort of buttresses my point.

All this talk about ‘equality’. No wonder many end up in divorce, there is no give and take. Women here are so bitter and complain but they do not practice reciprocity. It’s all about men are bad. How sad. It is not good to foment division among the sexes. Life is hard as it is.

What a lot of women are saying is we already feel like we live in a world where there’s division between sexes - it’s just that many men don’t notice that there is a division, because they’re used to it and it doesn’t inconvenience them.
 
I’m female too. There are places where females are in such a bad situation, such as sex selective abortions, favoring males. Places where they have to be covered from head to toe, victims of fgm, sex trafficking (this happens even in well off countries). I come from a developing country so seeing and hearing stuff about prostitution forced or not is common. Single motherhood is prevalent as well. Girl hooks up with a deadbeat guy, gets pregnant, guy leaves her, and so on. A lotbof people here treat others like trash.

It is a fact that men cannot be like women and vice versa. Are there bad men? Of course. But there are bad women too. Feminism is not helping. What we should be doing is stop the bashing, whether male or female. Male bashing is so much more pronounced here.
