Anyone had seen the clip Heaven by Beyoncé?

If not, I recommend, probably one of “most Catholic videos” in pop media. It is full of Catholic imaginary, close-ups of the Holy Rosary, Liturgy, and most important, in my view the song strongly supports the beliefs on afterlife and Heaven. In the end of the song there is even the Lord’s Prayer in Spanish.

Whether Beyoncé is or not your cup of tea, I found the video as an excellent help to evangelization to secular people. For example, it could be used as an ice-breaker to a discussion about the meaning of the Rosary, as probably more people will notice it now and ask questions; and of course people may ask what are the Catholic beliefs on death and Heaven.

Warning: It is still a Beyoncé and pop video, and while she is well-dressed for the majority of the video, don’t expect Beyoncé not being Beyoncé in some parts 😊.

Thank you for the heads-up.

Will look for the video on youtube.

Religious imagery I think is quite fashionable right now, I was at my local high street fashion store and there was t-shirts with Mary on and some other t-shirts with Christian imagery. I’m not sure how it’s fashionable, it was only a small selection, like 2 or 3 t-shirts but I’m no expert on fashion.

Well, I know a thing or two about fashion, and religious imagery was very prevalent in 2013, i.e., every store I went into had shirts with crosses and such (even jewelry). I’m hoping that this would/will stir up some interest in Christianity.

I saw the video… She had a rosary here and there, a priest, a crucifix, candles, holy water but… I don’t know… I still don’t see it as a pro religion sort of deal

I did not see the video. But from what I’ve seen of Beyonce: did she really make a video with Christian message? Or is it just certain elements of aesthetics?

I mean, even Madonna had some old videos with Catholic imagery, if I am not mistaken. I hope, no one claims that she actually promoted Christianity.

ETA: I’ve watched the video - I must admit, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Still, wouldn’t call it Catholic or overall Christian.
