Maybe it was just the little I saw of it, but did it appear sacrilegious to anyone else?
She appeared to be wearing a halo and people also wearing halos were worshiping her. It made me pretty uncomfortable

I was wondering if anyone would start a thread on her performance.
Considering how sexual she is performing on stage and how she dresses when she is NOT pregnant, I found the whole performance bizarre and I did not care for the song at all! It seemed to me they were dressing her like Virgin Mary. And I did notice the other women at one point appeared to have halos. So they were definitely doing some kind of artsy religious interpretation of Mary I thought.

I did not see it last night, just the YouTube version this morning…or as much as I could stomach! I find her revolting most of the time. She and J-Z are rumored to be Satanists, so it doesn’t surprise me that she would do something like this. I pray for her poor children!

It looked like she was going for an “ancient Mesopotamian fertility goddess” look. In addition, the way she was dressed made her look naked at times, not to mention how much actual bodily regions were showing. The whole thing was simply revolting.

Pray for the young people who lionize her and her husband
Pray for youth around the world, especially the youth in our Religious Ed programs who are so very confused.
Pray for those who work with youth in all the Christian faiths. It’s difficult to unravel what these kids see and are somewhat brainwashed to believe.
This is what the parishes are dealing with; the aftermath of popular culture.
And parents “wonder” why kids are “bored” at faith formation, Why? They have been educated by celebrities…they think they already know everything, and the people who try to live their faith are clueless.
it’s a sad, and terrible situation.
Please, stop what you are doing and say a prayer for our youth.
God bless.

I agree…her voice is nothing to write home about, so she feels the need to perform nearly naked most of the time. The truly great artists simply let their voices and their musical talent be the “show”.

After reading some more on the subject, it appears she was paying tribute , homage, worship, whatever to some African fertility god.

Pop culture has always been a challenge to the older generations. Unfortunately, parents have always had a disconnect with their kids. They are ignorant of some of the basic topics of interaction that can create and strengthen bonds with their children.

I always made certain to be involved. I wanted to hear what they found entertaining in regards to the arts; movies, videos, music, books, etc. It helped me tremendously. We made it a point to watch movies together. I also always made certain to periodically insert movies of faith. I also shared material that my generation found moving. Of course, when we encountered movies that were just uncomfortable to watch as a family, we turned it off. But we also made certain to state why we found it disapproving.

It was the same thing with music. It is easy these days for families to just put on their ear phones and tune-out everyone else in the room. The problem with that is there is no interaction. Hence, the kids don’t know what I listen to and more importantly, I can hear theirs. I remember the times we traveled together on road trips, I would encourage sharing time were we would share music we felt was good - great. It was enlightening for me to see what music the younger generation found entertaining.

Sadly, many of us don’t even share our faith. It’s not uncommon for me to encounter young people that don’t even know, much-less defend the tenets of their faith (I am talking about the children within Catholic families). It doesn’t matter if it’s Beyoncé or any of the artist that came before her. It is our responsibility to define the boundaries and to be aware of what is competing for their attention. It’s a confluence that we are totally in control…if we just pray for awareness.

It looked that way, but to be honest, I’m not really sure if that was what she was doing. I honestly don’t know if whatever she was doing up there, but it did look like she was trying to imitate Mary. If I were to ignore that, the set up does look beautiful, in my opinion

But others have said it was a nod to some sort of African religion. I don’t know this sort of stuff well enough to comment though.

I think she is beautiful and talented but meh. She is a good entertainer compared to other artists today but I just don’t get why people practically worship her. Her fans was ruthlessly attacking Adele because Bey lost to her, lol.

Even if she was being sacrilegious to our faith, don’t expect social justice warriors to be on it. They have a list of groups they defend, and we are not on it. Just like how people kept quiet when Kim Kardashian was made to look like Mary in a magazine cover. 🤷

I see it as only worsening, and I see Satan in all of it. They don’t even want to see and know the real light. Darkness is what they want, and darkness they shall have.

It is well documented that Beyonce and her husband Jay Z are open Satanists.

It didn’t sit right with me either. It should be only God we worship. She really does think of herself as some kind of Queen who should be adored and glorified. I couldnt figure out if she is mocking Mother Mary or God…the whole halo and all reminded me also of an Egyptian queen. Even on her twitter and instagram…her fans call her ‘queen bee’ and everything she does she inspires them…bla bla bla. I don’t want to get into the whole beyonce thigh but all I can say is the woman isn’t good!

Please don’t think I’m crazy but all you have to do is watch her music video’s.

I agree. Beyonce came to Ireland last summer as part of her formation world tour. I was in Dublin that weekend and the night before she came I was in a few bars and everywhere played her music most of the night. The thing that really stuck out in my mind was most of the people in those bars went crazy when she was played by the djs almost like they adored her. I really didn’t get it at all. She has such a hold over the young it’s so sad.

It looked to me like some sort of Pagan Fertility Ritual----with her as the Great Mother. 🤷 😊

Do. Not. Mess. With. Bae.

She and Jay-z will steal your immortal soul and give it to their Illuminati/Satanic/Diabolic masters.

BTW-----

The above comments were not a joke either. :p: 👍

I did see a picture in an online newspaper the day after…I thought at the time it looked like she was wearing a Monstrance on her head…I didn’t hear anyone else saying the same thing so I thought maybe I was wrong…
