I had recently seen someone on facebook post a video called “Beyond Reason”. After clicking on the link it looked very new age. The “How can we experience Universal Consciousness?” comment raised a flag. I started to watch but couldn’t finish even the first video. Further down in the written overview it talks about another video “Beyond Me” and mentions “The Secret”, after that a video called “Beyond Belief” and mentions “Beyond Belief is the next leg in the journey and makes a very compelling case for how the teachings of Jesus, which originally included an emphasis on meditation and reincarnation came from his travels during the so called ‘missing years’.”

Now these people are really seeking truth but are mislead…how can we push these people back on track? I would love to provide them with some thought provoking comments to make them question this way of thought. Has anyone seen these videos or have something to share with them? Jesus and reincarnation…something to say about that?

They are funny, listen to them, enjoy their theories.
Then, in practice, follow Jesus Christ.
Reincarnation? Boring !!! In a pig, then in an elephant, then in an ant, then in a whale, boy, when does it finish this hell of reincarnations, and then in Bin-Laden, and then in my dog…boring…

We have ressurrection which is much better.

I’ve heard arguments about the missing years with some claims that He went to India or Egypt or Asia (while it would be much more likely for him to stay in Nazareth which is why the people there actually knew him).

In the Gospels and the writings of Christ’s disciples the topic of reincarnation is never suggested. Judaism and God the Father never suggest anything about reincarnation which are found mainly in the Indian religions. It seems like this an ignorant new age group trying to combine Christianity, buddhism, and new age teachings.

Even those who reject reincarnation, must admit that the statements that Jesus makes about John the Baptist being Elijah, can certainly be interpreted (however mistakenly) as pointing to a type of reincarnation.

Hasidic Jews (who are very Orthodox Jews) believe in reincarnation, and will point to Biblical verses that (they argue) teach reincarnation.

Having said all that, there is little evidence that Jesus spent his “missing years” in India, but Jews did live in India at the time, so one can’t totally discount that possibility.

forget it…you are wasting your time goind that way…
ressurrection is what Christ taught…

Resurrection is not inherently incompatible with reincarnation. Hasidic Jews, for instance, have intergrated both a type of resurrection and a type of reincarnation into their theological cosmology.
