Bible and Catechism all in one?

I’d be interested in having the bible and catechism in one bound volume cross referenced. Anyone else?🙂

The catechism I have (the green volumn) has all Scripture and other associated documents indexed in the back of the book.

I was just thinking about that. Two weeks ago, I was the lector for Revelation 21:1-5 at my parish. Before my reading, I studied the lector’s workbook for the passage, which contained notes referring me to paragraphs 1046, 1047 and 1048 of the Catechism. Cool, I thought! I can get the Magesterial teaching on this passage. I looked the paragraphs up and deepened my understanding of the reading.

Unfortunately, my workbook does not reference the *Catechism *for each reading, and I feel that I am missing out by not having that cross reference. My copy of the Catechism contains footnotes pointing back to Sacred Scripture, but there is no reverse index – nothing that says, “if you’re reading this passage from Sacred Scripture, you might want to take a look at paragraphs X, Y and Z of the Catechism.”

I’d love to be proven wrong!

Our Sunday Visitor has a resource for RCIA called Understanding Scripture or Unlocking Scripture or Opening Scripture or something similar, a slim green paperback, that links the Sunday lectionary readings to the relevant CCC passages.
 
If you go here chnetwork.org/journals/readguide04.pdf there is a pdf which cross references the Bible and the Catechism.

By making a commitment of only twenty to thirty minutes a day, you can prayerfully read through the entire Bible and/or Catechism in one year!
