The KEY DIFFERENCE is that the bible’s descriptions of violence are LIMITED IN TIME AND SPACE. The Koran in contrast contains STANDING COMMANDS. The difference is profound. No simple frequency counts of words will reveal this.

Also note, the Koran is much shorter than the bible… so any frequency counts would need to be normalised. It was written in only 22 years by one man, and is history ‘poor’. The bible in contrast, was written over ±1500 years, by multiple authors, and is far richer in terms of historical logs and description.

Worthless attept to create an equivalent base between Judaism, Christianity and Islam as pertains to accountability for violent actions past and present. Used by agenda driven individuals to further a vendeta. Have a blessed lenten season.

Here’s something interesting from a few days ago in the UK version of the Huffington Post:

huffingtonpost.co.uk/2016/02/09/bible-and-quran-text-analysis_n_9192596.html
And you rely on the Huffington Post for your exegesis? A computational analysis of a book does nothing to allow us to interpret its content. Semantics quickly loses the spirit of any text. I have read of similar analysis of the books of Agatha Christie that added little to our appreciation of that prolific author.

Commands to do violence like this?

1 Samuel 15:2-3:

Or like this?

Numbers 15:32-36:
Yes, commands like that. If you compare the commands with the Koran, then you will notice the difference. We also should look to the example of the prophets of both religions. Mohammed was a warlord.

How many commands did Muhammad give to annihilate a whole people including women, children and infants?

The Quran only permits self defense. 2:190 That Muhammad and His followers were persecuted for teaching there was only One God and after 13 years persecution they fled to Medina. When Medina asked Muhammad to intervene in a dispute between tribes and He found a solution they embraced Islam. At that time Muhammad received revelations from God that they were permitted in self defense to fight for ‘religious freedom’. Now the Meccans main economy sustained itself in idolatry so the more people became Muslim the greater economic hit they took so it became a fight to the death to exterminate and commit genocide opon the Muslim Faith.

Muhammad respected all faiths and the Quran forbade forced conversion 2:256

However, after Muhammad died the Umayyads and Abbasids and later Ottomans destroyed the foundation of Islam by using offensive war and forced conversion as well as a tax that was only a wartime tax and imposed it on all people.

Despite this Islam had a golden age where the teachings of Muhammad inspired inventions, sciences and arts which revived a Eurooe in its dark ages.
