Peace!

Can anyone give me a verse in the Bible that is supported by science?

Thanks!🙂

Hi Wawe,

Science supports that Jesus really died.

The Bible, though is not a book of science or history. The purpose of the Bible is to lead us to heaven.

If there is a contradiction between science and the Bible, then either the science is wrong or we don’t interpret the Bible correctly. For example, the Bible gives the impression that the sun goes around the earth. When scientist began to doubt that, but without sufficient evidence, the Church condemned them. But when the evidence became incontrovertible, then we realized that some principles of Bible interpretation were not used correctly. And thus we progressed in our reading of the Bible.

Human reason created both math and the physical sciences.

Human reason also studies languages and literature.

Whether we understand or not, faith cannot be proved.

However, human reason can created mental experiments in areas of faith and math and physical science.

Is it better to hate or love?

Would your like to be hated or to be loved?

Would you like your spouse to do adultery or not?

If one wants to through out religion, then all equal right are also gone. Equal rights and love come from religion.

Those that want equality get their ideas from religion.

If we accept only math and science, we get the strong and only the strongest get the most. Only the strongest are allowed to live.

Rights cannot be proved from math and physical science.

Therefore no rights!

Religion gives us the ideas of rights and love.

Sorry about how poorly these ideas are written.

Social Justice needs religion.

Equal rights needs religion.

I am not sure we understand your question. I think the meek inherited the earth. And the land of Isreal was inherited by God’s people. There were Pharaoh’s in Egypt, Pharisees, and Scribes. Do this in memory of me seems to have caught on

you can find scientific support for all the plauges. Or at least scientific conjecture.

… an anyone give me a verse in the Bible that is supported by science? …
The book of Joel writes a prophecy regarding the coming of the Lord, that the moon will be like blood… Such a vivid description of a lunar eclipse (although in biblical times they would not have known about lunar eclipses).

Chrisitians believe that the crucifixion took place on Friday 3rd April 33 AD. Science can tell us that a lunar eclipse took place that day.

I’ve written about this before on a different thread…

Yes I can if you believe in science then there can only be a reaction from an action (movement) cannot take place. What action created the big bang for such a reaction?

Because Genesis is not making scientific assertions, it is wrong to charge Genesis with scientific error. If someone draws erroneous scientific conclusions from a misreading of Genesis, the error belongs not to Genesis but to the person who has misread it.

Therefore we should not say that Genesis does not have “full scientific accuracy”—a statement that is bound to disturb the faithful and undermine their confidence in Scripture. Instead we should say that Genesis is not making scientific assertions and that we will draw erroneous conclusions if we treat the text as though it were.

The same applies to statements such as “We should not expect total accuracy from the Bible.” In fact we should, for everything asserted in Sacred Scripture is asserted by the Holy Spirit, and he does not make mistakes.

The burden is on us to recognize what the Spirit is and is not asserting, and we may stumble into error if we make a mistake in doing this.

This applies to science or history or faith or morals or salvation or any other subject. The error belongs to us as interpreters, not to the Holy Spirit and not to the Scripture that he inspired.

It is a scientific fact that one can make an idol by melting gold jewelry and casting it in the shape of a cow.

It is scientifically provable that by throwing stone tablets on the ground, one can break them into smaller pieces.

It is a scientific and historical fact that if one gets angry enough, they can commit murder, even against a brother.

I think anyone that reads the Bible knows that a lot of what is written in the Bible is historically accurate. As far as science goes, the Bible is not a book of science. God made rules for the universe called Physics. He made Inquisitive creatures called humans that need to figure things out. That’s what science is for. The Bible is about faith, not science. The Bible is written history, prophetic literature and theology. I do not see a reason to believe one or the other(referring to the Bible and Science). I have an Engineering Degree, so I know a little bit about science.

THE BIBLE AND SCIENCE ARE THE SAME, HE IS NOT FINISHED PERFECTING US YET,IN THE EVOLUTIONARY LADDER.

god is science, evolution is god,GOD HOLDS THE EVOLUTION OF MAN IN HIS HAND.HE IS MICRO AND MACRO.HE IS INFINITY AND MASS ,TIME IS IRRELEVANT,HE IS ALPHA AND OMEGA.

Science dosent contradict the true.
I heard that with each door that the science opens we get closer to realize that God is at the end of all the doors.

The problem is that some christians read the bible very “literately” and they think everything was done the way it was written.
One must take in account the mythological language, the culture of the time , and the inspired true. all this facts are in the texts.

The bible has to be read in a humble way under the guidance of the Church. Like that we will be unleashed of the false slavery of taking everything literately.

Thats why the tradition is important.

and if you dotn understand something, ask for someone to explain you, the bible is a difficult reading.
We must ask a lot of questions to other people that know it more than us and that are under the church in order to understand.

We can not understand the entire bible if we read it on our own.

Hello,

How about Genesis 1:3 - And God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. This is supported by the Big Bang Theory.

And God said, “Let there be light”[BIG BANG!!!]; and there was light.

Hello,

Here is another verse: 1 Kings 7:23 - Then he made the molten sea; it was round, ten cubits from brim to brim, and five cubits high, and a line of thirty cubits measured its circumference.

This is the mathematical ratio known as Pi. Here are a couple of websites that will give a very good look at this.

Pi in the Bible
The Bible Says pi = 3

To me science, and the true word of god are as one,
You are just as well to ask God for the gift of discernment.as To ask another person ,all you get is another point of view. What one wants is the divine truth, the true word of god.seek and ye will find.
In studying ,say ,history. You do not study one book ,on one point of view, you study mega books on all points. Then You get the spirit of the time, a better point of view.
Not saying that other people, do not have a perfectly rational points of view. They have to be worked together.walt2000

Look at the germatria connection of genesis.-Dan .and rev.they all say the same thing in a different way
old test and new test
===================seven visions of Dan.
==============seven thunders of rev.

Greetings guys!

Very sorry cause I seldom hv time to take a peek into the internet.

My question arises to the fact that from the booklet, “A brief illustrated guide to understanding islam”, where in page 6-31, it says for example that Qur’an 23:12-14 (about human embryonic development) is supported by sceince as well as other Qur’anic verses as follows: 78:6-7 (on clouds); 16:15 (on mountains); 41:11and, 21:30 (on the universe), 96:15-16 (on cerebrum); 55:19-20 and, 25:53; 24:40 (on the sea barriers and sea waves).

I want to see if there are like these in the Bible so I could counter this claim.

Thanks:D
