Hi All,

I found this site while researching the idea of the flat earth belief and how it ties in to certain religions. I’m interested in whether it is correct that the Bible says the earth is flat. Some people say that it does and others say that it doesn’t and that passages are being misinterpreted. I also found this website which was founded by people who believed in the Biblical account.

The Douay-Rheims translation of Isaiah 40:22 states:

It is he that sitteth** upon the globe of the earth**, and the inhabitants thereof are as locusts: he that stretcheth out the heavens as nothing, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in.

If you believe the Bible was inspired by God, then you would have to admit that God didn’t believe the world was flat.
