Heello, brothers. I want to find some commentary for all Bible or New Testament ( I want books or online commentary, or name of authors) like Cornelius a Lapide.

If you’re looking for book by book New Testament commentaries, there are two recommended Catholic series, the slightly older Sacra Pagina and the more recent Catholic Commentary on Sacred Scripture.

The Sacra Pagina series, in 18 volumes, adds up to over 7,000 pages. The CCSS is shorter, but even so it still runs to over 5,000 pages.

Hi barth , your post was very beneficial as ive been on a search myself. Thanks 🙂

A Catholic Commentary on Holy Scripture is very good. Not to be confused with the similarly titled A Catholic Commentary on Sacred Scripture, mentioned above.

The one I’m referring to was published in the 50’s and the entire commentary is based upon the Douay Rheims Bible. I’m not aware of any publishers that are currently printing this single volume book, however, I know you can find copies on Ebay and I believe there are websites that have it available to view for free online.
