I have found sites like this prey on people with less knowledge and are unable to defend against this. I would take 3 or so examples from the new testament and schedule time with a priest. I’m sure any priest can adequately explain each and every one of these, but would not waste their time on too much of this drivel.

The beauty of the Catholic Church is there is a structure of knowledge, research, expertise that has existed from the very beginning, Jesus. Even though you or I do not understand everything and maybe we have a hard time accepting every belief it has been studied and time tested for around 2000 years now.

**The Bible is not the Koran, but Muslim apologists are incapable of appreciating this rather elementary fact. As a result, much of their comment on the Bible is quite worthless. When they have a criticism worth heeding, it is almost always plagiarised from the Biblical scholarship of the 19th century. **

The contradictions include:

• scribal errors
• approximations of figures
• different traditions of the same event
• **different traditions, formed by different sets of theological ideas. **
• **schematised figures or narratives **
• different theological interpretations of the same events
• **misinterpretations by the writer of the page **
• phantom difficulties caused by relying on the English alone
• failures to distinguish between what a character says he did, & what text says he did
  There are difficulties, but almost all can be dealt with if the text is not read as though it were compiled & read by morons. The stupidity evident in this list would not be tolerated for a moment if the Koran were were the book .

Just to make a minor point, the Quran wasn’t technically written by Muhammed, God command to him was recite, and it was his followers that copied down what he said. Still, there is only one source for the Quran as oppose to the numerous sources of the Bible. Also, another point too, the earliest manuscripts fragments of the Quran and biography of Muhammed come more than a century after Muhammed’s death, which more than the earliest fragments we have of the Gospel of John (~120AD) and Mark (possibly 68 AD, if the fragment from the Dead Sea Scroll is indeed Mark), and the early Church Fathers such as Clement (earliest 96AD) establishes historicity of the New Testament era.

Also, most of the contradictions are probably manmade, there are a lot of rough places in Genesis, which probably are from redaction, though I can theorize that the Pentateuch was probably a much larger book, some of them lost as papyrus discintergrate, tablets break, and libraries are burned. And the Post-exillic editors did their best to make the scriptures flow the best they can. In addition, the mode of information transformation was highly inefficient by our standards. Scribal schools involved either copy from text directly or writing from recitations. And obviously with homophones in languages, such faint differences can occur such as if I read the book is red. Some may write the book is red, others will write the book is read. We do need to keep in account scribal errors.

Actually, Muslims can offere no"historical" (non-Muslim sourced) proof that the Koran was produced within the lifetime of Mohammed. The first “official” version came, according to Muslim history after his death, when the bits and pieces of his prophecy were gathered together and arranged in order of size, not chronology or topic. As for consistency, the some the “later” suras and the “earlier” one are not consistent, so even by Muslim standrds there is a kind of “development.”

For more than 200 years, the historicity of the Bible has been under attack by liberal critics. The Koran has not been subjected to it. probably because the supernatural plays a lesser role in his discourse. and because he specifical rejects the divinity of Christ. But the oldest extant copy of the Koran is as far removed in time from Mohammed’s life as the oldest copies of the New Testament are from’s Jesus’.
