Bible: Historical or Counterfeit

Does anyone know of any good sites that support the validity of the Bible and whether or not Jesus, as shown in the Bible actually existed? Thanks.
Explanations are also welcome.

I have greatly enjoyed the work of Bart D. Erhman, a protestant biblical expert who is now an agnostic. You can find his website, or see him on Youtube. He is a defender of the historical fact of Jesus, and is very good at explaining current thinking on the Bible. He is not in line with Catholic teaching.
