Protestants, are any of you here trying to get us to stop practicing loving Jesus as practicing Catholics? I hope that you have enough respect for the posters here and love for Jesus to tell the truth.
Well I’m not them, am I? That’s why I posted the question, I want to know just as much as you do.Tell me what their strategy is. How can they get you to stop loving Jesus? What methods do they employ?
Well from what I’ve read on other message boards on this WWW there’s a lot of people out there that think us Catholics preach a dfifferent Gospel (whatever that meansI think that we are focusing too much on the “love Jesus” part and not on the other part of the question. Are there posters on here who want to get Catholics to leave their faith, even if they have a relationship with Jesus THROUGH the Catholic faith?
I know what you mean.Well from what I’ve read on other message boards on this WWW there’s a lot of people out there that think us Catholics preach a dfifferent Gospel (whatever that means), don’t know Jesus personally, & place Mary equal to Jesus. Amongst a bazillion other misconceptions.
So yes IMHO, there are people here who want & probably hopeful that we will leave this “cult” & follow them to the real Jesus.,
but are they honest enough to actually posts this stuff? I know there’s the occasionally Hit & Run poster, that post hell, fire & brimstone to us Catholics, but what about those that posts regularly? I’d like to see too.
I will say though that the majority of non Catholics on this forum are good, genuine people. So don’t take offense please.
Do the forum rules allow for them to voice their concern if they feel catholics are in a cult and need to “follow the real Jesus”?I know what you mean.
I think that a majority of non-Catholic posters on here would say that if we have a relationship with Jesus in the Catholic CHurch, it does not bother them for us to stay. I may be wrong, but that seems to be the common thought
A lot of it seems to have to do with tone of messages and how they respond to other posters. Typically, those types of posters turn very aggressive very quickly or get downright mean with their stuff.Do the forum rules allow for them to voice their concern if they feel catholics are in a cult and need to “follow the real Jesus”?
At what point does the person get banned after that?
After he responds to the posters and then is accused of prostletizing? I mean, how can he do this without being in that risky situation?
Well without looking at the forum rules right now, I would say that you have seen for yourself what happens here numerous times.Do the forum rules allow for them to voice their concern if they feel catholics are in a cult and need to “follow the real Jesus”?

Ralph,I know what you mean.

Amen to that one. We should probably all drop what we’re doing and go to the Atheist Answers Forums.Ralph,
Christ says, “where two or more are gathered in my name, there I am also.” Catholcs gather in His name, so He is there also.
Protestants that try to proselytize Catholics do a disservice to the great comission. We should all seek out the unchurched.

Nah…furthest thing from my mind. That doesn’t mean, however, that I am not to point out erroneous teaching or rejoice if they accept true teaching.I think that we are focusing too much on the “love Jesus” part and not on the other part of the question. Are there posters on here who want to get Catholics to leave their faith, even if they have a relationship with Jesus THROUGH the Catholic faith?
Is there one?Amen to that one. We should probably all drop what we’re doing and go to the Atheist Answers Forums.
I agree!! While you and I may have some “theological” differences of opinion… I see you as a “Brother in Christ”, just as I do JonNC and some others as well. I have respect for you all, and the fact that despite out differences of opinion (theologies)…we can remain civil and communicate as friends!!Amen to that one. We should probably all drop what we’re doing and go to the Atheist Answers Forums.
I don’t know about TU.=RobHom;4159507]I agree!! While you and I may have some “theological” differences of opinion… I see you as a “Brother in Christ”, just as I do JonNC and some others as well. It is good and refreshing to be able to exchange thoughts and ideas with others…and still be “friendly”. I think that those who fail in that aspect do a dis-service to God.
… and they find its the wrong size.I sometimes think that some of the “hit and run” types have just discovered a new venue…and are trying it out like they would a new pair of shoes…
I don’t think they want us to “stop loving Christ”… I think they just want us to do it on “their terms”. At the same time I believe that many of these people have little or no knowledge of who or what Catholics are or what we believe. They have been fed a rather fallacious line of propaganda…often by people who know little more than the recipient…so they do somewhat fall into the category of “invincibly ignorant”…or just ignorant of the facts as they are.Protestants, are any of you here trying to get us to stop practicing loving Jesus as practicing Catholics? LOL!!I don’t know about TU.![]()
