Bible Passages for a Lapsed Catholic

Can anyone please provide bible passages as I plan to give my friend a bible and suggest verses. He is in a “brass” position with a law enforcement agency. I would love to highlight passages dealing with: Protection, Wisdom, Strength, Patience. Or any passage for someone in a high ranking position would be appreciated. Also if there is another group which you can recommend to ask the same question, I would greatly appreciate it.
 
Matthew 5:9 - Blessed [are] the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

I would also peruse the Proverbs and the books of Wisdom and Sirach. They speak of the virtues you mention quite often.
 
John 15:12-13 “This is my commandment: love one another as I love you.
No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

Given that some police officers have to give of their lives to protect ours, I think that may also be very fitting.
