Romans is Catholic. That’s why Catholics are often called Roman Catholic.Jesus said, “no one enters onto the father except through me”. Now there is a verse that sounds anything but Catholic. How about in Romans, “it is your faith that saves you”. There is another verse that certainly does not rest with Catholic doctrine.

Oh yes there is. Verse 27 says," Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will have to answer for the body and blood of the Lord." Verse 28 says"A person should examine himself, and so eat the bread and drink the cup. 29 “For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body, eats and drinks judgement on himself.”However, there is nothing uniquely Catholic about 1 Corinthians 11:17-33. This passage is often read or quoted during Protestant communion services, metaphorically of course as to the body and the blood.
.
This is an abject lie.BIBLE PASSAGES THAT JUST SOUND TOO CATHOLIC???
The Bible is a Catholic library of New Testament books coupled with the Hebrew roots from which we came. ALL Bible passages sound Catholic because Catholics wrote and acknowledged and maintained Sacred Scripture throughout the centuries. I once asked a protestant (this is absolutely true) where his bible came from and he answered, “Barnes and Noble”. Church history at its finest…God Bless…teachccd![]()
unless you state which part of his statement is a lie, then we can’t know what you are referring to.This is an abject lie.
Regretfully speaking, your entire statement is a lie. The RC wasn’t even in existence in the 4th century when the canons were decided upon. The bible is not a Catholic book as well for the word Catholic isn’t even contained within it. To say that the RC made the bible is like saying that the word of God is owned by the RC. This is ridiculous.unless you state which part of his statement is a lie, then we can’t know what you are referring to.
if you mean the fact that it was under the catholic church’s leadership that the bible was put together, then no that isn’t a lie.
the bible is made up of several different books.the cannon was disputed for awhile and the catholic church decided on the basic list of books that is found in protestant bibles now.
if you mean that the poster is lying about something else then i apologize

You find some guy to start a Church. Jesus Christ founded ours. Where’s your corrilation??It seems to me that when a RC is backed into a corner, their emergency defense is always that no matter what, they are successors to Peter. Well, I am a successor to Al Capone but I am nothing like he was nor do I condone the way in which he lived. Same goes for the RC. Peter was a poor fisherman. The pope rides upon a chariot carried by Vatican guards. Where is the corrilation?

the word catholic merely means universal. many things aren’t mentioned by name in the bible but they are implied, such as the trinity.Regretfully speaking, your entire statement is a lie. That’s o.k. I called him ignorant and I stand by that. He doesn’t know Church history and proclaims ignorance. Sticks and stones…You know the rest.by the way, calling someone a liar is not very polite.
So who did put the canon of the New Testament together? Please advise this abject liar. I really want to learn:thumbsup: …teachccdRegretfully speaking, your entire statement is a lie. The Catholic Church existed before Protestantism came. I believe St. Ignatius of Antioch in 107 AD first use the word Catholic in his Letters to the Symerean.Regretfully speaking, your entire statement is a lie.
