actually i have a friend who served in the marine core. on the way back from a range one day they saw a deer in the field. so like any good marine would do… they shot it! not know what else to do, they made a fire, and cooked it up right there! had to get rid of the evidence somehow. that is one weird thing about hawaii tho. no deer. just pigs and weasels. forgot what kind they are tho. they look like ferrets. very cute. peace 🙂

I think eagles and buzzards are forbidden also, as are fish without scales … no lobster, crab, shrimp, crayfish, or catfish. So why does everyone focus on pork?

Hey Benedict-

Those weasels would be mongoose. And if you are dying for deer, the only place you can find them in Hawai’i is on Maui. FYI, as cute as the mongoose look they are a pest. So please feel free to shoot and eat them.

mongoose! your right mike. its kinda funny how they got here. they brought them to the island, hoping to eradicate another critter. problem is the other critter is nocturnal. and the mongoose is not. or do i have that backwards. any how, they dont cross paths. so it was an abysmal failure.lol! now both critters are thriving…will have to look at the deer on maui tho. i miss venison. peace 🙂
 
Does that mean I can continue to eat some of the delectable blood sausage, also know as blood pudding that I’ve always enjoyed?

im glad you did. my uncle served for 25 years in the marines. i love the marines. one of my drill sgts. was in falluja with them when they went in. they are top notch fighting machines! anyone that can hit a target at 500 meters while it is on the move is ok by me. i can only hit at 300 meters. and yall can form a wall of lead:D nice 👍 also the pork in the m.r.e.s aint too bad either 😃

Pork Chop w/ Gravy! Its hard to beat. Cept maybe Chili Mac :cool:
