Hosea. God had a message to deliver to Israel and Hosea couldn’t deliver the message until he hurt the same way God was hurt.

But, the gospel of John actually mention 3 Passovers.
  1. When Jesus turned water into wine (Jn 2:13).
  2. When Jesus fed the 5000. (Jn 6:4)
  3. When Jesus Instituted the Eucharist. (Jn 13:1, 18:28)
I learned this connection when listening to Fr. Mitch Pacwa. He was showing the parallel between all 3 Passovers and the Eucharist. If Jesus could turn water into wine and feed 5000 people with a few loaves and fishes, then he could feed us the supernatural bread from heaven to as many people who need it. These scriptures prepare us for the Eucharist.

Ok, I see you mention John in the rest of your answer. The first Passover occurred right after the first miracle as it says in 2:13. The last Passover occurred at the crucifixion. Thus, from that I would agree that about 2 years passed from wedding feast to crucifixion. But, this is assuming that there were not more Passovers that John did not mention.
 
To do the needful, as Indians would say: the correct answer is indeed Hosea!

If the mods would not mind, let’s raise this thread to the depths…only for it to sink back into obscurity again. Yeah, that’s a common occurrence for my threads. I’m used to it by now. 😃
