This is a nice collection of Scripture for pondering.

The Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword (Heb 4:12),

Have added a few more quotes on the same topic, although this is only a very small selection from the source I was using. The quotes are from The Moral Concordances of St Anthony of Padua (The moral concordances of Saint Anthony of Padua : Neale, J. M. (John Mason), 1818-1866 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive). All I can say is that I can see why St Anthony of Padua is a Doctor of the Church from his prodigious understanding of the Bible. I haven’t read his sermons but apparently they contain 6,000 quotations from the Bible! (Sermons | Saint Anthony of Padua)

Ecclus 38:4. The Lord hath created medicines out of the earth, and he that is wise will not abhor them. (St Anthony of Padua says this medicine is remembrance of Christ Crucified that sweetens all evils)

Heb. 12:3. For consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Sirach 30:25: Those who are cheerful and merry at table, will benefit from their food.

Acts 27:22: I urge you now to keep up your courage, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship.

John 16:33: “I have said this to you, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you face persecution. But take courage; I have conquered the world!”

Psalm 108:1: My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast.
Also, St Bernard says the reason why David says “my heart is ready” twice is so that the Christian is ready and willing to embrace either prosperity or adversity with equal indifference as God sees fit to send…
